Was genuinely disappointed with the service today. Walked in with the hope of finding shoes I had seen online but the employees stated they didn’t have, I was entirely okay with this and expressed interest in 2 other pairs. The Sales associate then asked if I was there for a fitting and I asked if I could possibly get one done. Associate said no as they stopped at 5:30 which again I was okay with but found it weird i was asked if I wanted one and immediately told i couldn’t get one. Back to the two shoes I was interested in, I asked the associate to see and try on two different pairs and he came back with one pair that wasnt either one of the pairs I asked him for but I was okay with this as I happened to like the pair more. The associate then asked again if I wanted a fitting to which I told him I wanted to try on shoes. The associate then asked me what they were for to which I explained i wanted to use them to begin to work out, starting with running and maybe getting back into the gym but was looking for inspiration to start possibly by buying these shoes. The associate then asked again what I intended to use them for to which I restated again my primary usage goals for these shoes, To which he responded with telling me the shoes in the store were primarily for running and that he wouldn’t recommend for weight training. I understood and again stated my interest in taking up running and hoping to buy a pair of running shoes in order to start. He again asks what I intended to use the shoes for and then asked me to explain what kind of workouts I had in mind to which I restated that I didn’t have any in mind yet and the shoes were primarily to begin running and find more encouragement for it. Again he asked if I wanted a fitting and I then stated yes I would like one but unfortunately I would not be getting one today because he previously stated they were not doing fittings anymore as it was past 5:30 but I was interested in buying the shoes because I liked them and wanted to begin running. He then AGAIN asked if I wanted a fitting and proceeded to state hours and how he could fit me in for a fitting which just completely ruined my taste for the store because I am not sure if these employees make commission off fittings or what exactly it was that he just seemed like he wanted to not sell me any shoes. I can understand wanting the extra commission or trying to ensure I was getting the best use out of the shoes I buy but I genuinely don’t get the amount of time wasting and effort to push me away from buying shoes. This store needs to work on sales tactics and general customer service as i can only imagine the amount of customers they lose out on because of their bone headed employees.

I go here sometimes when my local Fleet Store does not have something in stock that I want right away. They have a large inventory of shoes and can also get what you want if it isn’t there quickly. Staff as in all these stores are excellent, personable and very knowledgeable. This time the sales person Anne was particularly helpful with advice about a new shoe model and was incredibly patient with my picky self in handling a complicated exchange transaction that included getting some shoes for me from their warehouse sent to my local store. Fleet Feet stores that I’ve been going to for 20 years from Chicago to the western burbs are by far the best running shoe stores anywhere.

These guys are great and so knowledgeable. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who helped me, he was a little on the shorter side with dark hair. And I'm loathe to call him slightly older, bc his positive energy really made him feel young. But he was amazing and so kind and patient. Gave me great advice and had so much knowledge about what exactly I needed from a shoe for the milage and races I plan to do. Could not recommend this store and its employees more highly. Keep up the great work!

The service at the store was phenomenal! I was acknowledged when I entered the store and right away greeted and assisted by a sales person who was professional, patient, courteous, and knowledgeable.
The assessment was thorough and options were extensive. If they don't have what you selected in the store, they can have it available in store often the next day.
I was very please with my purchase and overall shopping experience at this location.

Fleet Feet service is great. I went in to get insoles for my shoes. Steve was very patient in getting me fitted for insoles for my plantar fasciitis. They feel great. He also showed me some gym shoes that fitt me good and felt great. I am thinking about returning to get the gym shoes. If you are looking for great service and knowledgeable staff you won't be disappointed.

I had a truly great experience getting fitted for running shoes at this location. Joy and another gentleman whose name I did not catch were super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend to everyone—even if you are a beginner who is apprehensive about it, they were not judgmental or intimidating at all—quite the opposite!

I always have trouble finding the perfect fit for my shoes except for when I visited the Fleet Feet store in Oak Park IL, and the staff person, Penny, found exactly the shoes I needed to address my needs. She was knowledgeable, a good listener, focused on my issues and provided expert advice. Most importantly, I found my perfect shoes!
