I had a reservation for suppliers choice which means he could have gave me any car on the lot and he did choose to offer me the worst smallest car they had and told me it’s the manager’s special if that’s the manager special the manager should be fired and then try to sell me on a upgrade for almost double the price I see what these reviews are bad.

Second time in a row that the vehicle option I reserve was not available. I reserved a luxury large sedan, paid in advanced and confirmed. When arrived I was told they don’t have those vehicles and they don’t know how I was able to reserve it. Then given the only option between 1 medium sedan and 2 small size compact vehicles. The lot had a 4 door jeep available but I was told it was reserved for an insurance rental. When I passed by at night in my way home, that vehicle was still sitting in the lot. The lot is full of damaged vehicles needing service, unable to reserve them due to that.

The staff is lazy and will have you standing there for a hour and a half listening to their conversations about dating my entire existence was a 0 if you want bab service this is the place to go I’ve never experienced that with hertz so just go to a different location

There is no drop box provided for vehicle returns. The customer service experience can be likened to that of a malfunctioning robot. While the options are limited, there is a plentiful supply of KIA Souls on the lot. According to the return policy, failing to return the rental with the same amount of gas it was given will result in a charge of $9.99 per gallon. Despite returning the vehicle with nearly a full tank, there was no compensation provided as it is not part of the policy.

Not the best location. They don't honor Tiers (ie) you being apart of the presidents circle. Customer service isn't the best. The Customer doesn't come first.

The establishment lacks a welcoming atmosphere, as patrons are not greeted upon entry and there is a noticeable absence of eye contact from the staff. Guests may find themselves waiting for acknowledgment without any seating available while the staff converses with each other or does, whatever. Additionally, the cleanliness of the space leaves much to be desired. It may be advisable to consider alternative options if possible. I regret going here.

Waited 1hr for vehicle, this was done from 2nd party, no vehicle was ready, the blame goes to Hertz ! This location went beyond to help solve the problems! Did not get the vehicle that was requested! How can You let second party use your Company (Hertz)!!

Overall the staff is very unprofessional. The employee i had the misfortune of dealing with lacked basic math skills and vehicle knowledge🤯
Their main goal was to throw as many upcharges at you and see which one you'd bite on, then rinse and repeat!
The car had trash In it, smelled bad, and was not clean. There car was having engine issues, but I can't imagine they'll get it fixed most likely up charge me for it🤣and continue to rent it out.
Next time I'm going with Enterprise👍

The folks who work at this Hertz are responsive and helpful; I got my rental car quickly, and when I thought there was a problem with the engine (which ended up not being an issue), they were quick to work with me to resolve the issue. However, the car I was given during the initial rental was not sufficiently clean on the inside - it smelled like cigarette smoke and there were stains on the passenger seat. Also, I never received my receipt when I returned the rental car; the man I spoke with told me I should check my spam folder, but there were no emails from Hertz there.

big corporation and they don't have people to clean the cars ... the people who do the contracts in the offices do the cleaning too ... shame on them for making fun of the employees

Yup, believe the reviews. I didn't and I was left with no car. Made a reservation and showed up. The guy working was the only one there and the line went down Madison. After waiting, found out they had no cars available, even with a reservation. So...take this as a warning, check before you show up. Had to drive to O'Hare since it was now after 6pm.
