Couldn't recommend the Oak Park Animal Hospital enough. They are always so thoughtful and helpful with everything. They also evaluate your pets in logical steps, allowing you to pay for tests, treatment, medication incrementally as we find out what's wrong. We've been to other vets who sell us on a bunch of redundant test, quick to prescribe medication, and ultimately feel more like sales than support. Oak Park Animal Hospital walks us through tests and escalation, as it makes sense to do.The space is also always extremely clean - doesn't even really smell of animals. How they've treated our dogs from puppies to end of life ensures a longtime supporter.

Before we lost him a few weeks ago, our lab mix, Salem, was with the Oak Park Animal Hospital for 14 years. The doctors and the staff are always welcoming, sincere and concerned for the health of the pets. They cared for Salem with constant professionalism for the entire time he was their patient. They always give us the most reasonable and realistic advice and we have never left feeling like we a bad decision. We have moved twice in 15 years and we have never left the care of Dr. Dina and the staff. I would strongly recommend the Oak Park Animal Hospital to take care of your pet. We have a total of zero complaints!

This place helped me figure out what was wrong with my cat better than Petco did. They saved my furry feline buddy and she's on the way to a speedy recovery!

Dr. Cristina is AMAZING!!I have had nothing but great experiences here at this vet. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes this year & it really took a toll on me emotionally & financially. I was taking her to the Hyde Park Animal Clinic in Chicago (worst vet ever never bring your pets) at first & based on the way they treated my cat & I, I knew I had to find somewhere else for us to go. Thankfully I came across this place. Dr. Cristina has been nothing short of a blessing for me & my girl Oreo. I mean any question I have, she always has an answer to. She also reassures me & makes Oreo & I as comfortable as possible. Any time I call, even if she’s with a client, she always calls back. Since switching Oreo over to OPAH, Oreo has gone into remission in just under a month with the advice of the Dr. Cristina. Dr. Cristina says she’s a miracle baby & I can’t agree more! Highly recommend this place. Please ask for Dr. Cristina she’s so knowledgeable.

I brought my cats in for a routine checkup and to get their shots. We saw Dr. Cristina Mursuli and she provided great service and good recommendations for my cat who previously had asthmatic issues.

My husband and I were looking for a local vet with more of a community and family vibe after adopting our new puppy. Unfortunately, Oak Park Animal Hospital was not quite that. The staff was really nice, but did not care much to get to know us. When we had a concern about our pup, the vet did not call back for just over 48hr and our puppy was left with uncontrolled, severe symptoms that whole time. It was during the week with regular business hours when we were calling. We did not know what to do and felt she was very much uncared for. We changed to a different local vet, and they were VERY responsive, got us in for a visit in less than 12hr, and confirmed that while our pup did have demodex, itching with demodex is very unusual and she’s been suffering from a secondary bacterial infection the whole time. She’s now on oral antibiotics and already feeling better, thank goodness! We also did not like the practice won’t examine your pet in front of you, they are EXTREMELY expensive, and there’s no cost transparency at all whatsoever. Spent over 350 dollars here in less than a month all for what ended up being a missed diagnosis anyway. Spent WAY LESS at the new vet for a correct diagnosis on the first visit, and they show you an estimate up front prior to completing services. Do not recommend unfortunately. I hope they can make some improvements in their approachability moving forward for other pet owners!

Made an appointment and paid the $10 required deposit ( to be applied towards services)to bring my 4 month old Shi Tzu here this past Monday just for an exam. What a complete waste of time. My appointment was for 3:30pm. Prince and I arrived on time and not once did the Doctor come in to meet or greet us. The Vet Tech (who was very friendly and pleasant) kept coming in on the behalf of the doctor bringing in Puppy Recommendations for treatments and vaccinations etc. I expressed to the Vet Tech that I only wanted to bring him in at this time for an exam/evaluation as he we recently acquired him and wanted to make sure his health was where it needed to be. When the Vet Tech presented the itemized list of vaccines and other fees totaling $400.00 I told her that I'd planned to go to PAWS CHICAGO for this. She excused herself from the exam room returned to tell me that the Doctor stated that Prince needed to have at least two of the vaccines she'd listed, especially for puppies. I then asked can you please have the doctor come in and examine Prince as this is the only reason we are here and I am more than willing to pay for the exam that I paid the deposit and booked his appointment for. The Tech excused herself once more and returned and stated that the "Doctor" is not going to see Prince and that I can see myself out. The Vet Tech apologized as I declared my disdain for the way Prince and I were treated. I requested my $10 deposit back and was told that I would not get it back and that the "Doctor" emailed me. At the time of this email I have NOT received an email nor my $10 refund. I've had animals in the past and have NEVER been disregarded and disrespected in such a manner. I am appalled with the lack of service and disregard for my time wasted and lack of care and compassion shown. I felt like I was on the game show, "DEAL OR NO DEAL", as the Vet Tech kept coming in with offers. Clearly this place is strictly about money and NOT caring for animals. I see why there was NO LINE NO WAIT HERE. Who wants to bring their beloved pets here to be left alone and not acknowledged for hours just to be dismissed and turned away? Stay clear away from this cold hearted place!

We have been bringing our two cats here for several years because of the consistently excellent service. I have been blown away by the amount of thought and care Dr. Cristina puts into her time with her patients and their owners. She has been so helpful in answering all of our questions and listening to our concerns. Every time I get a call from her, I feel so much more knowledgeable and confident in the decisions we make regarding care for our pets. Andrea, Melissa, Dr. Dina - all wonderful and incredibly helpful. We're so grateful we have a place where we can take our pets and know they're going to get excellent care.

Such a wonderful, joyous, calming experience. It could have been stressful, but they took care of me, and my pet, from the initial phone call, throughout our visit, all the way until we were ready to leave. Positive, smiling staff and the Doctor was absolutely incredible!!!! Each person I spoke with, or met, were wonderful, caring, compassionate people. Patience, professionalism and unique customer service. They turned what could have been a stressful situation, into an efficient, caring, experience that I will never forget. I will tell everyone I know about this place, they are 5 star!!! Thank you so much Oak Park Animal Hospital!

Mixed feelings. They always take good care of my cat however I'm not sure they are the best at prioritizing emergent issues. My cat needed to be seen for an abscess that kept swelling & getting bigger each day. I tried to get her in earlier than the appointment I was offered but had no luck & found myself getting annoyed that my cat was left waiting to be seen because dogs needed their nails trimmed the day of her appointment & then the day of her surgery she was again not prioritized and a neuter/spay surgery was instead. Genuinely not understanding the prioritization between emergent & elective decision, but when you finally do get your pet seen at least they take good care of them.

I called 2-3 times within a2 day period and received their VM. I requested a return phone call as my Guinea Pig had me concerned. I let them know that I thought my pet was sick and needed to be seen. They never returned any of my calls and my Guinea Pig died. VERY unprofessional. Very disappointed. VERY UNCARING. The worst.

Every time I interact with this vet I am disappointed. Their protocols and customer service are literally the worst I have ever experienced. If you have any other option for your vet, I highly recommend you take it.

As a matter of standard practice (not just COVID) precautions, they do not allow you to remain with your animal during the examination. I wouldn’t tolerate not being present during my child’s exam and I won’t tolerate that with my animal’s either. I also felt they like to paid the bill with repeated unnecessary diagnostic testing. I recommend you skip them.
