Many of the staff members do not know where items are and do not speak even easy English words. Excellent choice of fruits and vegetables. Overpriced dairy products. Great smoothies for fair prices. Wish they had some smaller size carts.

Fresh food and great selection. I gave 4 stars because I feel like there's not many specials. Everything is all AL a Carte. Definitely a first pick when it comes to freshness.

I'm responding to Kris M's less than helpful and scripted response to my original review. How dare you try to gaslight me by insinuating that I can't accept change. I have no problem with change so long as it makes sense. See a team member? What a joke. Why don't you try getting someone's attention for 15 minutes with no results. This past weekend I managed to (finally) speak to someone with a specific request (filet some fish in the self serve, formerly full service, seafood section), only to be told that I have to take what was there and that they couldn't prep my fish the way I requested. It should be noted that you have a board behind the seafood counter which specifically states that you will prep it for the customer. I finally went to Tony's and was able to get what I needed. I noticed that you and the customer relations person I previously communicated with conveniently ignores the concerns about your environmentally unfriendly packaging. If I want 3 pounds of shrimp for instance I have to purchase multiple clamshell containers. Those containers end up in the trash and our recycling service advises against putting them in the recycling bin. Previously I could request 3 pounds of shrimp (again just as an example) and it would be packaged in one container not multiple containers. Further to the issue of the environmentally unfriendly containers is that even when they are sent for recycling, only about 6% of that is actually recycled while the rest is shipped for disposal abroad, buried in landfills or in some cases dumped in the ocean.

I can't say the people that work there are very nice. Was waiting for someone to do their shopping so decided to get some food to eat. They had hamburger on the menu but when I asked for one, he just shook his head, no eye contact. So I got some from the buffet. Checkout person was nice and helpful. I said that I wanted to eat in the dining area while I waited for my friend. She took me in, manager was sitting there staring at his phone, acting too busy to speak with either of us. When we asked, and I explained my situation, he said in a dismissive way "no". So, I'm good enough to buy your food, but not good enough to eat in your store? If your store is open and you serve food, you should keep your dining area open, don't you think? I had to sit in my car and eat. I don't care much for this location anyway since it is so closed in and makes me feel claustrophobic, but not much of a way to end a very long and tiring day along with a long commute

I like their hot food bar, although the price per pound is somewhat expensive. Everything looks so good and tasty, I must be selective and get what is nutritious and appears to be tasty. I love Pete's Greek style chicken, but today was not as good. Also, like the green beans, sauteed broccoli and cauliflower w/carrots. I guess i have to pay for the convenience of prepared foods.

When management stops caring about quality control, this is what happens. Bags and bags of moldy bread right on the shelf in the store for all to see. Right under the nose of the staff who apparently don't see it or just don't care. Gross. I let the manager know -- I shouldn't have to do that. "Fresh" is literally in the name of the store. Not an isolated incident either. I actually contacted customer service just last week, before this, to let them know their fresh bread keeps molding after less than two days, something that didn't used to happen. I got a response suggesting the problem is with how I store the bread. Obviously the problem was not with me. Look at that disgusting picture. See how the bag is all wet and steamy inside? No wonder it's covered in mold. And if they can't even be bothered to not stock spoiled food right on their own shelves, what other problems are happening behind the scenes that we dont see? Time to find a different grocery store.

Great bars, both salad and food. Like most stores a bit pricey. If you want see natural beauty while you shop, Go to this store especially at lunch and dinner hours. Both the employees and the customers are some real "eye candy".

My favorite part of living in this area, the hot food, salad bar, and cafe items are delicious. Jesus is the best cook at the grill. He always takes the time to make your food exactly how you like it! Excellent service!

Pete’s has been one of my favorite places to shop for as long as they’ve been there. HOWEVER!!!! Lately, one TOO MANY times I have had to return food due to expiration dates, food being stale, including fresh fruits not having any flavor, etc. My latest experience is, I just opened my blue cheese salad dressing and it was totally molded. I do not have a car and don’t have time to run back and forth for things that shouldn’t be happening in the first place. So thank you Pete’s for the run we had, but it’s time I shop elsewhere.

Prices are fine, selection is okay, but this store is simply chaos. You have checkout lines stretching halfway down every aisle and customers getting competitive about which register they’ve laid claim to. I won’t come back here until the management puts up some stanchions or crowd control arrows or something. I don’t know how Target, Walgreens, Whole Foods, and Costco manage to get everyone to civilly get to the checkout, but they do. Heck, even the TSA line at Midway on a weekend is more streamlined. Pete’s is anarchy by comparison. Do better.
