People there are always nice for a gas station that sees a ton of traffic employees seem to deal with the chaos pretty well. Have seen some unprofessional stuff in the past there but it's a gas station not a 5 star hotel, people reviewing here might need to adjust expectations or just happened on a bad experience.

Why is it that every time I want to use the little window to purchase things I'm always given some lip about how the employees don't want to use the perfectly usable window. They never can give a logistical reason why they don't want to or why it can't be done. The items that I want to purchase are behind the counter right where they are and are small enough to fit. So why the hassle? You'd think that during a pandemic that they would want as many customers as possible to use the window rather than going inside where social distancing is questionable and with people breathing all over them. When you think about it, it's actually safer for the employees and customers but I guess that nine months into a pandemic that they haven't caught on yet. I hope the manager reads these reviews but probably not. I could just do without all the sass the next time I want to use the window.

Just googled gas near me only to arrive at this gas station that is under construction and has no gas pumps available. Why not just state this on your google profile?! Very inconsiderate

For a price inquiry on cigarettes I had to go outside across the rain to my car to grab my ID to find out how much cigarettes are they informed me on the door it says that I must be carded for a price inquiry no that's incorrect. Crappy attitudes all around. In general complaining about a customer at a pump cause she couldn't remember what number he was on.. It was the pump right outside the window I watched him go to his car.. I will definitely steer clear of this place.. 4 people just standing around too.. And there is water all over the floor past the door. Almost busted my a** walking in

The Shell gas station at Address: 401 Madison St, Oak Park, IL 60302 has A Rude cashier and different prices than what are marked for prices of items in the store. Also I had the misfortune to have my credit card charge twice in one visit for gas. I can understand system problems and a bad credit card reader for the gas charges, But when the price of a bag of peanuts is marked 99 cent and the ring up charge is .69 cents over and you show the cashier the label from the display and her response is " if you don't like it you can go somewhere else" I wonder how another customer would handle being treated so rudely. I like shell gas and went out my way to get it but this station and especially where it sits left a lot to be desired. I now wonder if they over charge for gas. I will be paying greater attention and spreading the word about my encounter.
