I went from the Locs to wave nouveau hair style. I got what I wanted, silky,curly, and look so natural.
I have worked with both Nikki and Rita...great team, caring about assisting for healthy hair. Great salon environment.
Thanks again Rita...I am very happy and feel quite good about my new look.

Never been there before but was a very comfortable salon. Stylists were kind and personable. Hair color looks natural. Styled hair to suit my face. Was a bit more expensive than I anticipated, but I am satisfied with their work. Will make another appointment.

One beautician charged $45 just to cornrows my hair to the back ... That's literally all she did. Niki is a great hair stylist and way more reasonable prices for the services she provides. But I will check out another place before I go back there... And I will definitely get someone to cornrow my hair for way cheaper!

Scheduled me for 4:30 then moved it back to 5:30 when she confirmed she was free. I show up and she’s doing someone else’s hair and said she was almost done. She had me waiting from 5:30 to 7:45. She never even touched my hair yet. The person who came before me was obviously someone she just moved ahead of me.
Wasted two hours of my time.
But she has done good work in the past. That’s why it’s 3 stars.

Went to the salon for the first time on Sunday 5/19 the customer service was okay. I felt prices were decent given what the hair girlies are getting away with now. I went in for a hair cut, color correction, styling and ended up spending $135 over the amount I was invoiced despite coming in a week before for a consultation and having multiple phone calls about the services I needed. I understand sometimes we need more service but I would have appreciated a heads up that I was being up charged for additional services before the end of the appointment. Ask before because what if i didn’t have it in the budget to pay the extra money. To me when stylist do that they show they care more about quick money then maintaining relationships with clients. Not to mentioned I was upcharged for a silk press/thermal press that couldn’t withstand the humidity. The silk lasted all of an hour and a half before getting frizzy and fluffy. $100+ it should be able to withstand any weather no? ( Btw it was between 73-82°). I’m not sure if I want to go back cause i did really like the way my hair looked but I want someone that will take care of my hair and help it grow fuller, thicker, longer. Would you?

Went in for a silk press. Got a protein treatment also. $150 just to have my hair smelling burned. Went home and washed it a week later and my 4b natural curls are not coming back. Called the stylist (Rita) to see if she would make it right. Went back in. Nothing but excuses. She says my “hair NEVER had curls”and my hair “only has a little damage at the front” then “What do you want me to do about it”? Went to my old stylist and they confirmed all my hair is dead. This is a wig salon at best but not for natural hair. Dont get me started on the uneven layered haircut.

Rita was so patient with my toddler's first salon visit. She was a pro with the braids, even with my fussy toddler. So quick and it turned out lovely! I'm grateful for her giving my daughter such a great first visit and encouraging her throughout :)

Go!!!! She's good. nickystylz.com, Then go to the soul food place, 6978 up the street. Nice clean shop. I had a good experience. Be ready to spend$$$. But hey sometimes it's worth it. Just save :)Services: Haircut

Best salon in Chicago for hair care and beautiful haircuts. Nicky the owner is the best hair cutter I've ever had. She cares for your hair and can cut in a way that well compliments your face shape AND eliminates all split ends!!!! Love this place, I'm a life time fan

I'm new to the area and was looking for a hair stylist. I'm so glad I found Rita at Sira. She is professional, skilled, fast, kind, and fun. She cut and colored my hair exactly how I wanted and was able to cut my hair in the natural state vs. straightening it first - which is my preference. I plan to come back next time!Services: Haircut
