“I purchased my dress from a boutique in Chicago that did not offer alterations, so I had to look elsewhere and found Wedding Design Studio. I entrusted them with altering not only my wedding gown, but also my reception dress—a shorter, lace style. I was initially a bit nervous about their recommended timeline for working on two dresses, but it ended up being a complete non-issue. Both dresses were always ready on time with zero delays.

The seamstress was truly incredible. She would look at the dress on me—sometimes without even pinning it—and by my next fitting it was absolutely perfectly tailored. Every adjustment was flawless. She also took the time to talk through my ideas when I was unsure which direction to go, offering thoughtful guidance and honest feedback. It was immediately clear how knowledgeable and experienced she is.

“Aga is a GENIUS with a needle and thread. She redesigned my daughter’s wedding dress to fit her like a glove as well as adding to the design to compliment her body. Aga’s talent to see want needs to be done and to implement the change with scissors, needle and thread is incomparable. She meticulously cut a section of the dresses train and applied it to the front of the dress for a more flattering neckline. Then she removed the train and realigned the skirt with a beautiful fullness. The finished dress is more exquisite than when we brought it in and it is impossible to tell, unless you look at before and after pictures, that anything was done to the dress. All of this plus the fact that Aga was a pleasure to work with. She is understanding, sensitive, professional and absolutely wonderful. I would entrust Aga with the most sensitive, difficult or challenging creations or alterations you may have. She is truly a genius!”

“I've had wonderful experiences with bringing dresses for alterations and new zippers. My son's taekwondo pants, suits, Boy scouts uniform, tuxedos for School concerts all altered. This place has never failed us. They charges great reasonable prices and always have items back to us in time. last minute alterations are not suggested. I would give them about a weeks time to complete alteration. the owner seems serious about her work but is a very sweet lady.”

“Maria was my stylist and she did an excellent job. She was kind and very helpful. She encouraged me to try dresses I might not have considered. The experience was so fun. Then my alterations appointment was also excellent. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I looked up boutiques that were pricier and I’m so glad I didn’t go there. The dresses here were lovely and the experience was great. I would encourage any bride in the area to come here. They also do in house alterations! It’s clear the alterations team loves their craft. And they’re delightful people.”
