Made a mistake of going to the Home Depot without the sale flyer. I asked several employees where the ladder was.... No one knew. Found what I thought was the sale one, brought it to the Customer service counter and she didn't know if it was the one on sale as it didn't show that price and she didn't have a flyer. I had to carry the ladder back to where I got it...while numerous employees were standing around talking to each other or on the phone. Next I was looking for the hand cart that was in the flyer...no one knew where that was either. No one could even tell me if it was still in stock. I will start going to the big Home Depot in Downers Grove. At least the employees there seem to be willing to help customers.

My Husband and I were just shopping at OAKBROOK home depot , we had the NASTIEST , RUDE CASHIER ( GRACE ) OMG what is this world coming to??? She couldn't figure out the price of a product ,I tried to help her and was was so F-n rude , Finally she let me help her //and it worked NOW she could not count back are change . TREATED LIKE SHIT

I live in elmhurst and have to go to downers grove location every time because this Home Depot sucks ass so bad, they never have what you need and it's always a mess.

My experience was very professional. John and Jason helped me out and was able to help me find what I needed. I would definitely recommend this homedepot for other to come with there electrical and plumbing problems.

The garden center was well stocked but the prices are significantly higher than Menards. I bought about $150 in perennials and so far so good, but they were about 30% pricier than I typically pay. Plenty of parking. Check out lady was nice.

Meh. Customer service at the counter is flat out rude and mean. Some people in the paint can be nice. People walking the floor can also be rude and clueless. The door greeters are nice. Plant people are okay - mostly decent friendly. The store is big, parking lot questionable..be careful where you park!!...half the parking lot looks like people never received their driver's license. Lol

Since 2016, I have been going to this HD. No issues! When you buy and not have to deal with anybody you will not have anything to complain. In 6 years, I have learned where everything is, aisle by aisle. From there I have bought from plants to concrete, from paint to renting tools. Last month my wife decided to buy a two sheer shades and ended up going and order them from there. We ordered on April 5th , paid and 2 weeks later I got them delivered. When i opened them, one was a bit damaged, I figured out what was wrong with it and decided to go and talk to them to get parts to replace. Went into the "window treatment" area and nobody was there. Asked around and a lady that was there made a call for somebody to show up. Waited 10 mins walking around the kitchen cabinets and still nobody came along. Okay fine, it is evening, slow going, let me go to the front and ask. Went to the customer service area and asked about my issues. This lady "future manager" sent me to the window section. I asked if this was right but she insisted that an employee should be there. Again OK! Let's see how this will turn up, deep down thinking this ain't right. When i went to the window/door area a gentleman was there and right away he told me "no I don't deal with window treatments, a common mistake, but happy to help". In the mean time he picked up the phone, told me to wait next to him, and made a call to the back (where the employees got their break rooms). He told me to wait 5 minutes in the window treatment area and they should be there. He advised they were on shift change. Okay I will wait! 10 mins waiting and now nobody showed up. I lost it and left home. Driving home I called customer service and first time the call dropped. Never got a call back. Second time and another guy picked up. Told him the story and he advised to go back with the shades. I was okay but unhappy that nobody can help me. Vented a little and he hanged up on me! Now I was really pissed. Picked up this 9 ft sheer shade, put it in the car and went back. When I went to talk to customer service this lady "future manager" made a call and now she told me nobody was there to help me. She advised that I will get a call tomorrow. Asked for a manager and her reply was "I am the manager". Go FKN figure a manager that doesn't know the difference between windows and window treatment! Almost 2 hrs into this story and now i felt that there was no point dealing with them. The next day I called Levorol. Their customer service was gracious and helpful. Spoke to me and suggested to check if there was more damage if the case I'll have to return this shade. There wasn't and so they sent me the parts needed and fixed it myself. Thanks Levorol! Over two weeks later, I am still waiting for a call from HD! That day would be the last time I stepped into that HD. And if I plan my jobs ahead I will buy online or through other stores. The great thing about this nation is that we have choices!

DO NO USE curbside service at Oakbrook Terrace - it's worthless. last two times waited over 20 minutes after checking in. had to go in one time - told apt broken and nothing about waiting 20 min. Today, checked in, waited 22 minutes, had to call store to find out abt not working and they didn't have have my order listed. eventually got my items. Again told abt not working by worthless employee. What a waste of time for a service not working. Never use this store for curb side service. I'll go to Northlake or Broadview to see if theirs is working

We needed a quick truck rental to pick up and transport a pair of kayaks we bought. This worked great as a quick and easy option. It is $20 for 75 minutes or less. This is first come first serve, but it is handy if you need a truck rental quickly.

I haven't been to Home Depot in years. I was looking for some hanging hooks for a mirror that I had purchase. I walked around for five minutes looking for someone to assist me. Where are the employees in this place? Luckly, I spotted a gentleman to help me. He looked around just as confused. He told me to give him a second to find someone that could help me out. I waited another 5 minutes. I was finally greeted by an assisted to help me out. I told him what I was looking for and instantly was lead down this aisle. Reggie was nice and super helpful. I bought carpeting for my condo and Joan was very helpful in saving me some money being on a fixed income. I was told that the carpeting will be install in 7 to 10 days. #H1982-142804. We went to check the installation, Norma told us that it will not be ready for installation until the end of September. I almost fainted and question why promised 10 days and now it will take 6 weeks. I called today Sep 6th and talked to the kindest, helpful and superb Bob. He even give me the number of the installer for me to inquire when I'm scheduled. I got the answer and the installation company even give me the date. I was so happy and Bob helped my confidence with Home Depot. Many thanks, MaryAllen

Went there tonight to buy furnace filters had 3 self serve registers open (none of which takes cash) the only manned register was three deep with full carts. First of all I hate the fact they have self checkout and then they the one that takes cash is broke. I can walk there from my house but from now on I'm going to Ace Hardware to support them. Screw the big box store that doesn't care about the customer

Don't do curbside pickup if you can't figure it out. I've done it twice now and waited fifteen minutes each time with multiple calls having to be made to the store. It's such a joke! Get it together.

Would gave a half star if I could....been trying for the past 2 days to order a freezer online...apparently they are having technical difficulties..even chatted with the online assistant from the store...said they would contact me and have not had any response...forget it. I'll shop somewhere else. You just lost a big sale... and I even had a $100 gift card. Home Depot....
