They never answers call, return messages or text. The worst customer service. You cannot even get ahold of the general manager Matt Auffenberg. His voice-mail is always full and never there to answer a call.

It’s worst dealership because of manager. Manager angry and the way he speaks is very rude. It felt me like very uncomfortable.

Auffenberg Hyundai in O'Fallon Ill has the most dreadful service department I have ever experienced. Twice I have had completely rude customer service employees, and today when I went to the service manager I was told that if I didn't like it I didn't have to come there. Trust me I wouldn't have if it wasn't the only place close to my home where I could bring my car to have the recalls taken care of and still make it to work. I was expressing frustration over a known issue that Hyundai has with my style of car, and has in the past fixed it, but is no longer fixing. Instead of a sympathetic I'm sorry I know that stinks it's past the warranty which makes it an issue we can't fix but maybe try A, B or C then my experience would have been different. But the employee John seemed to take it personally and got an attitude with me. I told him I didn't appreciate the attitude and he informed me that if I come at him with Attitude then he will come back at me with the same attitude. I wasn't mad at him, I was frustrated with the situation and customer service from a grown professional man should have been the very least I could have asked for. Instead, he got nasty with me, and when I went to the manager and saw his attitude ( don't like it find another dealership) I realized that was where it came from and I was wasting my time trying to get anything done about it. It's sad that nowadays customer service is a thing of the past.. However,it was not all bad. The man who got me the rental car for the day was lovely and kind and I appreciated that. No one wants to take their car in first thing in the morning the day after a holiday, get a rental and then hustle back to work, so his kindness meant the world to me. A little kindness goes a LONG way.

After my last visit to Affenberg Hyundai, I sent this email and did not get a single reply back from anyone there. If you are looking for a new vehicle. We bought our 2022 Hyundai Sonata Limited from them and it is a great car. We were also talked into purchasing a process called "Auto Butler". The way they said it worked was that each 6 months for 5 years, we would bring it to them and they would clean the inside and out and then apply a protective product for both inside and out. It has been our experience that they don't even vacuum the vehicle out when we have it there. And that makes me wonder if they are actually changing the oil and other services when I have it there. At this time, I would suggest that you stay away from them. Poor, Poor customer service.

Do not buy a car from this dealership!! I purchased a vehicle from them last year and they messed the title up not once but twice. The second one issued has a title brand of "not actual mileage". The car now is worthless all because of there fat finger mistake. I tried to call the dealership and left a message for Mo the manager to call me back. No response at all. They clearly do not have any checks or balances or care to correct their fup. Idiots!! For all of you that have purchased a vehicle you better check your title.l now have to get a new one and pray it is corrected and they should be paying for it.I will tell everyone I know to steer clear from your crappy dealership!! If I could give negative stars I would.

Deceptive business practices - they advertise their cars for way less than kelly blue book, but when you get there, they will give you exactly the same amount less for your trade in. I went to buy a 2023 santa cruz, priced as just over 34k - 4k below blue book.... just a few days ago (literally 5 days ago) I had another dealer offer me 16k for my trade in and said they prob could do a bit more. kelly blue book says its worth 16 - 20k appx. soooo...what does auffenberg do...well, they take and offer me 4k less for my trade - yup - offered 12k for my trade...to obviously make up the difference for what they marked down the car the were selling (nearly exact same amount) - so what does this mean for you? well - you end up paying full retail price for their car - aaaaaannnnnddd - they get your used car for 4k less than trade in - so likely are making double off of your used one when they sell it! Its a racket, its unfair business practice, its almost a bait and switch tactic and most importantly its unethical. OH! I almost forgot the kicker - they will run your credit before they talk to you about any of this - so now your credit score takes a hit too. Completely unacceptable. This is not keeping the customers best interest in mind...in fact - they don't care about anyone but themselves.

I'm new to Illinois. I purchased a brand new Hyundai Santa Cruz in California just before moving here. The car is only 5 months old with 5000 miles on it. I called this dealership to get an appointment for my routine maintenance and because my car was not accelerating when I pushed the gas. I explained that it was very dangerous when I am in traffic and suddenly my car will not accelerate over 22 miles an hour.I called the second week of August, they said the soonest I could come in was the third week in November!!! When I asked why I had to wait 3 months for service, she said I was welcome to take my car over to Missouri for service.Very unprofessional and very poor customer service.

My husband and I were both in the market for new cars, every dealership we went to did not take us seriously and had no effort in helping us find our cars. We went to Auffenburg Hyundai and our salesman Carl Roesel took his time in helping us understand the whole buying process and helping us both find cars we loved. Carl assisted my husband and I throughout the entire process, this was ordering a car for us, and stayed in touch every few weeks to keep us updated on the process. We received AMAZING service from all we encountered, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you Carl for making this the best car buying experience we've ever had!!

I needed to schedule a service appt. I called but got voice mail and decided not to leave a message as I was not sure my availability for a return call. Over the next few hours I called multiple times but nobody ever answered. I then tried to call the receptionist to see if they could transfer me with better results. However I got the same result, VM If this is the type of result you get just trying to track service department probably makes more sense to try another dealership. Auffenberg is closest but several others are not to far.

I have bought from Auffenberg for 25 years, Never again. Service was excellent until I asked a question. Service person Steve would not take questions without saying he is not responsible for anything and that I should give him a shining review. Well when I said you work for this dealership, he recoiled and told me that he would not give me a comment email. I said but you work for this dealership and I would think that you would explain my question about timing of appointment. After all of this, I said your a Prick, granted a bit unnecessary. He became belligerent, Told me he did not need my business. And the rest of the service team told me in order to get back in I would have to talk to Bob. Fair enough. Never any Auffenberg in my future or anyone I Know. Funny, I had been sticking up for this dealership, guess I was wrong.

I have been purchasing vehicles for 50 years. The absolute worst experience is with this dealership. I would never recommend this or any Auffenberg dealership. Chris Elliott is very bad at his job and a rude, unprofessional, jack wagon. The general manager (or custodian, who knows) called and apologized for the way Chris treated us, but offered no solution. Went to Columbia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and purchased a very nice vehicle with absolutely no hassle.Again, Chris Elliott is very bad at his job. Stay away from Auffenberg.

We were traveling, and the check engine light came on. The car entered limp mode. We took it here at the end of the day, and they were able to get us on the road the next morning in spite of their full schedule. Thanks for helping us out in a pinch!
