Not a bank anymore. I went in there yesterday to get change for a $100 bill. The most basic banking operation. But they refused to accept my money because I no longer live in OFallon and don't have an account there anymore. What? This has nothing to do with having an account at that bank. This has to do with accepting US currency. Legal tender. And exchanging a $100 bill for five $20s. They gave me some mumbo jumbo about money laundering. What? Making change is not money laundering. They simply refuse to do any customer service anymore. You can see it in the way they have remodeled the building. Empty tables for conferences and board meetings, where the real money laundering takes place, and only one teller to serve customers, and then only customers who have accounts. Not members of the public seeking change for a $100 bill. As a traveler I have walked into banks all over the world to exchange money. That's what banks do. I didn't have accounts at those banks. I had a fist full of dollars, money that needed to be exchanged. And I was never denied that simple service until I walk in First Bank in O'Fallon where travelers aren't welcome and US currency isn't accepted.

The branch itself has no tellers and no counter. They also lose sign-in cards to the safe deposit boxes. If you ever have to deal with the legal department I feel sorry for you. It has to be one of the worst legal departments at a bank that I have dealt with. I will never bank here again.

Horrible Place!!! Keep charging me service fees for no reason... Every month I go through the same cycle with them. They are forever doing something wrong with my account!!! I will be closing my account very soon!!!

My mother was admitted into assisted living last month and I brought her in to close out the IRA that she had at this location. I called ahead to make sure we had what we needed. When I arrived at the Bank I was greeted by Chandra and my mother and I sat down to check on her accounts and figure out what we needed to do. She did just have an IRA and when we go the balance and penalty for cashing it out I told my mother and we were going to proceed. That is when Chandra told me that they thought I was coaching her and they pulled her into another room where she had to wait by herself over 15 minutes until a manager came in and tried to convince otherwise. I am 56 years old and I am her primary signer on all of her other bank accounts. She is paying extremely high rent at the new facility and needs this money to help her out. I have never been so humiliated in my life and I feel like I was being profiled. She was visibly shook up and waived for me to come in there but I was not allowed. Now here I sit with a terribly upset 90 year old mother with memory issues and I cannot go see her. They are having her sit in front of a TV screen while she is advised by someone in another state. Terrible customer service.

Not a bank anymore, just a bunch of ATMs. Customer service is severely lacking, I was told there is no longer an onsite manager at each branch. Really disappointing, been banking here for over 20 years.

I have about 10 accounts at this bank for various businesses and for my children. Their customer service is the worst! Yes, they wait on you but only on their time. Most of them go about their business and finish personal conversations before they will wait on you. Why do I bank here? The answer is because it's the most convenient bank for me and that is the only reason. Whenever I have to go inside, I absolutely dread it because I'm about to get treated like an annoyance!

Will never bank there again. I had an account there and have for 5 years and now they won't cash my check without a fee and charged me for not doing online banking witch caused me to overdraft. And they closed my account with out any notice because I had a $0 for over 24 hours!
