We recently replaced several doors and put in new flooring in the kitchen. Catherine and Jake in flooring were very knowledgeable and helpful as was Jim in millwork with the doors.

Got a great great deal on a roll of vinyl scrap flooring that was found right when I was about to purchase cut bulk flooring, same exact kind, that would have costed me nearly $30!!! He said that roll will be $5. NO WAY!!!!! I needed to line a bathroom sink under cabinet!!! Have a whole lot left to line other areas!!!!

They will cancel your rental the day of without warning and not care one bit about helping you find another solution with another area Home Depot. Joe in the rental department couldn’t have cared less about my predicament with needing the truck to move today.

Formal Complaint / Public Review
I’m really upset about what I witnessed at this Home Depot location during the recent heat wave. I stopped by multiple times and saw that the outdoor plants weren’t being watered—for four days straight. When the nursery associate returned, she was pulling out dead plants that could’ve absolutely been saved. It was heartbreaking.
There were evergreens over 4 feet tall, completely brown and lifeless. Trees like that take years to grow—and to see them wasted like that, just because no one watered them, is incredibly sad and unnecessary.
As someone who loves animals, plants, and all living things, I couldn't just watch this happen. I bought as many as I could just to save them. And I want to encourage others in our area to do the same—they're currently 50% off, and honestly, they need rescuing before they end up in the dumpster.
If the store can’t staff someone to care for the plants during extreme weather, then please ask for volunteers or temporary help. Something must change. This was completely preventable, and it's not just about sales—it's about life, stewardship, and doing better.

I visit Home Depot often, & especially here lately since I’m having my basement renovated. I’m retired Army & have been to countless Home Depot’s. I want to speak about a certain Home Depot employee name Diamond - she normally works returns / customer service. I have has several interactions with her with a few returns & she has always been kind, professional & courteous. In a world to where there are so many rude unprofessional people working - it feels good to be able to speak about the GOOD in a person. Keep up the GOOD work Diamond. I see you & Home Depot O’fallon, IL should be proud to have you representing their brand.

just had to take a moment to shout out an incredible employee—Jocelyn at the Home Depot in O’Fallon. She went above and beyond to help me during my visit. Not only did she assist me with finding what I needed, but she also stepped in to help with my baby when she noticed my little one getting fussy.
Her kindness, patience, and professionalism were truly top tier—I even told her she reminded me of Chick-fil-A level service (and that’s saying something!). Jocelyn’s attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile made my entire shopping experience smoother, easier, and honestly, uplifting.
It’s employees like her who make me a loyal customer. I’ll always come back to this location because of the care and customer service I received today. Thank you so much, Jocelyn—you are a gem!

I’m extremely fed up with Home Depot. We had a carpet installation scheduled for today where they outsource the company through superior floors. Installer got here and didn’t have the right materials for the job. Instead of calling us and rescheduling they left and didn’t say anything to us. I had to call their company to find out what was going on. I found out that either Home Depot didn’t communicate what floors we had where the carpet was going or they did know and that’s the type of company they are. Regardless of that issue, when we pay 3k+ for a job we would like some clear communication on what’s going on especially if we have to hire a babysitter so the installers can do their job. I’m beyond upset and will never use Home Depot for anything in the future.

We had to return some things and we'd allotted about 20-25 minutes for the process as most retail places try but aren't overly efficient. It took about 2.5 minutes. Super easy, barely an inconvenience. Highly Recommend.
