My experience at NFCU has not been good. I have been a member for about 5 years and I really want to go back to regular banking. Depositing checks is horrible, for whatever reason they place extremely long holds on my checks. I hate that you can never increase your daily ATM withdrawal limit. I mean it’s my money why can’t I take out as much as I want. Lastly, I live in St. Louis and they refuse to put a branch here. I have to drive almost an hour to the closest NFCU. I hope others have a better experience than I have been having.

Miserable person the phone. I had no idea you had to be in the Navy to become a member of this credit union until I called. You don't need to be a member or employee of the Government to have GEICO insurance and they are the Government Employees Insurance Co. Typical for 2023

I want to like this bank but it’s frustrating they only have two tellers working with no sense of urgency and the line is out the door. They did a “remodel” with no improvements. They should have added a drive thru.

The staff at the O'Fallon, IL branch are always friendly and upbeat no matter the time of day or day of the week. I love this branch and will miss the people here when we have to move back home to Georgia. Especially Casey W. Girl, you are amazing and have such a wonderful personality!However, while standing in line on a busy Friday evening waiting for my turn with a teller, a "manager" type lady came out of her office and reprimanded the greeter / concierge in front of about 10 - 12 clients. She wasn't overly loud, but she could be heard by those of us within 10 feet of them. I felt this was unacceptable and very unprofessional. If an employee warrants a reprimand, take them in an enclosed area away from the clients in the lobby. Bad form on her part!

Overall they have been 5 stars with me, only “bad experience” I have had was having to bring my birth certificate and my brothers birth certificate to get him an account due to the abundance of people abusing the credit unions policy. They are friendly, helpful always take care of me. I have most of my financials through here. Just great overall credit union.

I called for help with CD info and said I wasn't a member yet. Agent was busy with a member and wasn't helpful at all. No wonder there are so many bad reviews with this O'Fallon, IL Navy Federal Credit Union branch. I'm glad I called and read the bad reviews before I decided to be a member. If I was close to the branch that answers their 888 number I would give a good review but I wouldn't want to do any business with O'Fallon Navy Credit Union, near Scott AFB, ILLINOIS.

Just went to this branch to open a checking account, the line was at the door and people in the chairs. Wait time to open an account 1 hour...what is going on? The girl at the stand was obviously sick as she barely had a voice, could barely hear her. Took my business elsewhere..
