Horrible customer service. I arrived 10 mins before they closed and they wouldn’t service me. A lady named Amanda started closing the door and wouldn’t let me in. I asked why she was closing the door 10 mins before the actual closing time and she was very rude and just kept saying “we’re closed”

I’m actually a Belleville resident but called in to OFallon and spoke with Amanda to ask a question. Not only did she she answer my question, she went above and beyond and provided further guidance to ensure my delivery goes as expected. Good customer service is a rare occurrence these days (hence why I called OFallon instead of Belleville) and I sincerely appreciate her reminding me that there are people who still go above and beyond to be helpful.

This post office is a joke. We had a little bit of weather and now mail is being delivered once every 5 days or so. Whatever happened "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night..."? Amazon 3d party deliveries are more reliable...

Some of the most inept people on the planet. We had snow and sleet on Sunday 5 January and as of Friday 10 January no mail has been delivered at my house….I understand the 9th was a Federal Holiday to pay respects to President Carter, but there is NO excuse not to have received mail on the 8th or 10th. Ridiculous. Our government needs to sell this mess to the highest bidder. I am sure UPS or Fedex would turn this deficit ridden albatross into a money maker.

I purchased shipping for CHRISTMAS GIFTS and dropped them off at the O'Fallon location on the 13th of December. When I purchased the postage through the Click-N-Ship online tool it indicated my packages would be delivered on or around the 16th of December. Perfect! In time for Christmas. After the 16th came and went with no delivery I checked on the tracking only to see that both packages were still at the O'Fallon post office!? Why? Then, on the 22nd of December I received my FIRST tracking update indicating that my packages were in CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA!? Iowa! That's North West of my location. The packages are supposed to be going to North Carolina in the East. Why in the world would packages going to North Carolina be going to Iowa? And why in the world did it take over a week to get there in the first place? Another package I mailed on the 18th (which was supposed to be delivered on the 21st, according to the USPS website) is in SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA!? How is it that two separate sets of packages sent from the O'Fallon location going to the SAME ADDRESS in North Carolina are at two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT locations in TWO DIFFERENT STATES in the opposite direction of their destination!? I actually contemplated shipping my packages through UPS but ultimately decided on the USPS because it was more cost efficient. NEVER AGAIN! I don't care if the price is five times more than the USPS. I will NEVER again ship ANY packages through the post office again. These were CHRISTMAS GIFTS that are now not going to be there for Christmas when the family is together. I am not happy. In fact, I am LIVID!
I submitted feedback to the link on the receipt but it doesn't matter what I or anyone else says, nothing will change. From what I've heard from those who used to work here this has been an ongoing problem for SOME TIME (that I've only just been made aware of.---Had I known then what I know now!) Packages stacked in the back area with the oldest date in the back and newest in the front with the staff continuously working from the front to the back instead of the other way around (oldest first then the newest). That's either laziness or incompetence. So, it doesn't really matter what is done; Fire the whole staff; Retrain; Give bonuses/raises to those who actually do their job and do so correctly; Tear the place down and rebuild it with someone newer and better in charge; I will never ship any package through the USPS ever again! The Post Master General is wondering why nobody is using the post office anymore? It's not the advancement of technology. It's not the change of habits people have toward letter writing or sending cards. It's crap like this! Late packages way beyond promised due dates. Opened/"damaged" correspondence with items "missing" from them. I could go on. They already know this but, yet, do nothing to fix it.

There are many wonderful, competent, and friendly employees here. They are what earned two stars in this review.
There are also too many indifferent employees here. USPS as a whole consistently acts as if it were intentionally trying to drive all its customers away. Automated machines not functioning properly, shipping supplies not available, packages returned with no explanation of why they weren't delivered, raising prices on EVERYTHING every time you turn around, failures in staffing/organization resulting in long lines, almost zero functional customer service via phone or email.
USPS consistently treats its customers as if their time and personal/business needs don't matter and somehow keeps charging more and more for worse and worse services. I used to care that USPS continued to thrive as a SERVICE to residents of the United States. Now...frankly I'm getting to the point where I seriously consider cutting ties with it altogether every month or so.
Postmaster General should be removed from his post and replaced with leadership that cares about their customers. If things continue as they have been, why would I (or you) continue to support them?

Exceptional service as usual but that's what happens when you go to a post office where it seems like everyone there is a veteran of the post office.

Every time I come here they have such a bitter attitude, even when I’m being nice and respectful. I could understand if I was being rude or had an attitude but damn. Whatever y’all going through I hope you get through it, cause you need it.

If you are sending a package to a servicemember overseas, do NOT go here. The employees are so rude, from the minute they see a customs form. Look, I don't want to fill it out either, but that's the rule, and that's how we support our troops. I get treated poorly every time I arrive with a care package to send. They have made me stand to the side while taking faster customers, behind me in line. Then they grumble the whole time they input the information on the computer. Most recently they conveniently "couldn't find the zip code" (probably a lie to avoid dealing with customs forms), and therefore couldn't mail a package on Saturday, so my package containing fresh cookies, has to wait 2 more days for another location to be open. I won't return to this location, even though it is nearby.

Lynette at USPS is extremely RUDE. She works at USPS in O’Fallon Illinois. 62269
I really hope I have her name correct…
I believe it was Lynette.
I went to USPS today, 9/5/24 around 12:20 pm. I was there at least 20 minutes because I had to ring for a supervisor after a humiliating experience with the window clerk.
The window clerk Actually threw my 2nd receipt back to me saying she didn’t need that with a Very Harsh Tone right from the beginning. Every single word that she spoke was mean and snappy. I do hope it’s on camera.
Right from the start of the transaction.
Looked up the wrong express number but didn’t want me to tell her the right one or even show her on the receipt.
I understand how you can be frustrated with customers, I worked the window at USPS myself for years. But the CLERK LYNETTE takes the cake on bad customer service.
I hope she can get more training on listening to her customers first and not automatically going into attack mode! Never throw a receipt back at a customer just because you may or may not need it! Geez!!!
I’m done… I had to say something.
Supervisor came out and helped me most graciously… once the supervisor looked at my receipt and researched she agreed that I was indeed due a refund.
Thank you Supervisor I wish I had gotten your name.
If Lynette had taken the time to listen and read she would have seen what I was trying to explain to her but she cut me off at every single word!
I really hope that they have cameras.
I retired from USPS in 2018 and clerks like this do not represent us well.
Sincerely

When I paid for the USPS delivery service, it was suggested that the "Estimated Delivery Date" was April 22, 2024. The package was dropped off and paid postage on 18 April 2024. Estimated, so what that actually means is that there is no guaranteed date of arrival. My package did not arrive until April 29. Because of the size and weight of the package, the postage was 76.43 and with insurance was an additional 9.52 totaling 85.95. I was given a tracking number, which was always the day before, NEVER accurate or real-time. It would just make sense that you scan package when it comes in and goes out. Of anywhere. Its called tracking. So the package sat in Belleville for 2 days, the St. Louis for 2 days, then I am not even sure what happens in Minneapolis, bouncing from one one distribution center to another, of which the Twin Cities has 3. I lost some Christmas presents going through that cluster. So my package arrived on the final date, where as I could actually claim it lost and file for the insurance, but what kind of nightmare would that be trying to claim it. It would be nice to get the USPS back to where it was when you could mail a parcel and it would arrive arrive when it was intended to arrive. Lets get rid of the Postmaster General and find someone who can do the job.

Just wanted to leave a review specifically for Rose. Your passive aggressive attitude this morning was ever so helpful. I’m sure nothing will be done about it but I find it pointless to state the obvious.
