I called OC Animal Control to report my missing dog. The response I received was helpful and caring.

I had a horrible experience when I phoned and asked that someone check on what appeared to be a sick or injured cat on my property. I turned away for a moment and the man who did the check picked up the cat by it's neck using a noose attached to the end of a long stick. When I looked back he said "don't look, don't look." I still see that image - what a nightmare.

Ogle County Animal Control doesn't take feral or lost cats. They don't have a shelter.

Very lazy people. They don’t seem to care about sick or injured stray animals. They do not do anything for stray cats, I thought it was called animal control because they handle all animals, not just dogs.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They are very lazy about checking on abused animals. They will claim to have checked on a reported animal and say it's fine when it clearly is not!!!!

Terrible people who could care less about the animals and the people that own them.

Called numerous time for help with the past few years with dogs, cats, possums, bats, raccoons and many other animals and every time they have told me, "That is not our problem we don't do that kind of work." ???? I don't even know what they do there. Wasted of place.
