I had a troubling experience at the Citibank Orland Park branch on November 27, 2024. Despite prior authorization from the Citibank fraud department to access my account, Keith, a staff member, denied me service, asked me to leave the branch, and failed to document my visit. This left me unable to access my funds during an urgent situation and caused significant financial and emotional hardship.
Thankfully, when I visited the Citibank Oak Brook branch, Brian provided outstanding service. He was professional, efficient, and promptly resolved the issue that the Orland Park branch mishandled. While I appreciate Brian’s assistance, the lack of professionalism and accountability at the Orland Park branch was unacceptable.
I hope Citibank takes steps to address these inconsistencies, improve staff training, and ensure that all branches provide the same high-quality service I received at Oak Brook.

Stay away from here if you need personal banking help. Waited an hour and a half to be told we can’t help you because the manager is on vacation and they are the only one with the passwords. All I wanted was a check that I deposited to be printed out. Also I don’t get how it sounded like one of the personal bankers was opening up an illegal account for someone but they don’t care there. I wish this was one of the citi's that got shut down. After wasting my time there I went to the to let branch because I needed this document much sooner than later and the tinley branch was able to help me in seconds. STAY AWAY FROM THE ORLAND BRANCH!!!!!!!!! Go to tinley or just go and switch your bank. They need to fire the manager and the personal bankers. Worst I have ever had to deal with. While not trying to over hear them both as both personal bankers like to talk loud about other people business (I am kind of hard of hearing) they would then also just call some 800 number and then pass the customer off that is sitting right there to the person on the phone and then they would just walk away and let the 800 number people fix the issue.

Do not bank here! They cannot even verify nor cash their own checks. Who can trust that?
The bank manager is unprofessional, rude, sneaky and clueless. These bankers are not anyone I would want handling any of my finances.
While I was there 2 other customers were upset and having problem with their accounts. Many Banks are around pick one you can trust.
Huntington or Chase are great choices!
Ps. I did email your corporate headquarters. Great automated reply as well. Your bank is all class. How insincere.
Anyone reading this please find another Bank that knows how to treat their customers!!

Worst business banking experience I had in my life . The branch manager continuously avoided helping in a very important aspects and issues related to my business account . I eventually had to close my account due to lack of help, and lack of professionalism in dealing with all the unresolved issues that effected my business. I would not recommend citiBank for business accounts.

This is to commend and thank Alexander Villagomez for his professional and courteous help with a check that was sent to this branch for a transfer of funds in regards to a Health Savings Account. Alexander let me know the check was there and went out of his way to find out if this account could be handled there. It made me feel safe and protected that he had my back in this regard. It was a very pleasant experience and it was appreciated. Many thanks. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

Terrible service. They lie about reasoning to not do work. I would not recommend citi all together. I have been with them for 5 years, terrible service. I moved to BoA. Do not waste your time.

My husband and I stopped by to notarize a paper.We were approched by the branch manager Keith who helped us with that immediately. We are very impressed with his excellent customer service. Well done Keith you left us impressed. Citi bank will be always our place for future banking needs.

This Citibank location is pathetic and is not truly a banking institution! I have my personal and business accounts at Citibank. Today, this location refused to accept for deposit into my account $350 in U.S. coins that were ROLLED. This is beyond absurd - you are a bank supervised by the U.S. Federal Reserve, coins are U.S. government-issued currency which is legal tender, I am a customer of this bank, yet this bank refuses to accept my U.S. currency of rolled U.S. coins for deposit! So, Citibank will hold my money in my accounts, accept Federal Reserve Notes (ie. dollar bills) for deposit, but refuses to accept rolled U.S. coins for deposit. Does Citibank's corporate officers realize how ridiculous this is? It's absurd, pathetic and not acceptable to conduct banking operations with your customers in this manner! I asked to speak to the branch manager and was told by a teller that that branch manager was in a meeting and was going to be tied up for a long time. Not an acceptable response! Citibank - do better! I am now looking for another banking institution to conduct my banking business.

I've been a Citibank customer for years this is one of the branches I entered to deposit coins and was told that they did not accept coins and go and use Wintrust Bank on Lagrange stating they take loose coins and rolls. I called customer service and was informed that they were to take coins. I call the branch manager wanting to discuss the interaction and I it never received a call back.
