Get here early. Extremely busy anytime between 1pm to 5 pm. In a hurry you might spend about 100.00 dollars. Stay longer than an hour and you will probably find enough items to spend at least 300.00 to 400.00 bucks. You can end up purchasing a vehicle here if you want to save a few thousand dollars. Fresh cooked food available for a moderate price.

left my entire basket full and walked out today . after watching employee scan entire peoples orders I n front of me . when it was my turn she only scanned water . asked her to scan the rest . she said she was just doing the water . I said fine ask a manager. she asked girl working the area .apparently she said whatever . they walked away. so did I ! Costco will not get my renew as a customer. the worst customer service ever . she spent more time arguing than If she would have scanned items I'd be out in seconds.

Love shopping in bulk, it cuts down on running back and forth to the store. When my husband and I are not shopping together I get to take my time and explore the entire store. Leaving with just a little bit more than I came in for. Lol. On this day I was able to use the Costco check; an end of the year reward for shopping throughout the year. Can you believe they ran out of hot dogs?

Update since review. Bathroom remodeling appears to be finally finished! Big kudos again to the CostCo return policies and staff, always friendly and a great member benefit. I returned unopened Halloween candy (it was snowing and nasty weather, few kids) and also a weird rare Kirkland milk scenario where the containers were somehow not filled all the way from the dairy. New seasonal items are available, which will usually go fast!

I couldn't believe there were no working bathrooms and was informed that the bathroom was under construction for so many people paying money. Plumbers are available construction people are available this is absolutely ludicrous and crazy that I am inconvenienced where I am unable to use a bathroom at a facility like this. I passed up so many places because I knew that I was going to a member's only institution where they took care of, I was inconvenienced and upset. The bathroom should have only been down for hours not days. I was instructed go outside and walk a 1/2 a block to go use a bathroom. That's what the employees had to do. This incident left a very bad taste in my mouth as I am a senior and I only expected the best out of this location very disappointedThis incident left a very bad taste in my mouth as I am a senior and I only expected the best out of this location very disappointed.

Worse experience of a Costco and this was my first time using my card. Me and my mom never been to Costco so we came to Orland location. One word to describe it was GHETTO. Two lines that are suppose to lead to self check out and or a regular cashier JUST TO GET YELLED AT ABOUT SEEING a membership card? No.. just to get confused in same said line and moved into a cashier line by a team member that made us dump someone else OUT of their spot. It was theeeeeee worse experience and it's at the top of the afternoon

First important piece of advice! They do not accept Master Card unless it's debit. The store itself is great, the staff is pretty good, but the Customers! Just walking in so many people just dead stop and start looking at their phones (mostly seniors) is Facebook really that important? If so pull over and get out of the way! Staff should nicely tell these people to move along! They cause a bottleneck at the entrance. Prices have gone up on some things, I just choose not to get them. Since it's a 45 minute drive for us, we go occasionally to stock up on essential supplies.

Every time I come here there is an issue. Today I went through self check out to buy a restricted item so we we're waiting for help. The lady told us angglry that we cant scan anything before we get help, which doesn't make sense because when you scan it it then turns on the light for them to come over. They helped angglry put in my DOB and told me that I couldn't use a card that I have used here many times. They were talking so fast though, I couldn't understand so when I asked her what she was saying she got even more mad at me. Customer service is a joke.

Never again. They took the registers out and the workers literally watch you do all the work and then the"workers" check your cart and receipt 3 friggin times. Costco you lost my hard earned money with this bs. Your workers should make minimum wage at best.!! The prices of food and home improvement has also gone thru the roof!

Funny story. Costco has someone in line at the beginning to make sure you don't have too many items and to check your face versus the face on your Costco card. Then right afterward someone different does the receipt to make you swiped the items this is before even walking tot he front door. If you need that many people to make a "self checkout" than maybe self check out isn't the answer

The new policy of enforcing you being the actual card holder is just a step too far. They have every right to do a one to one check of sorts, it's in our membership terms. The problem is there are now four points of connects with them: the entrance check, the checkout lane, the exit receipt checker, and now someone checking your card before you get to the checkout. Today there were two card checkers. I suppose that wouldn't have been too bad but I apparently wasn't moving at her required speed to get my card from the wallet and present myself for inspection that she was kind enough to mention "If you don't have a membership you cannot shop here, please step out of line."For the last few years that I've had my membership and Costco credit cards I never thought of dropping my membership but today might just be the end of it. On the way home I stopped by a competitor and their checkout options were better (hand scanners on the self checkout and some fast track lane to bypass the checkout entirely), plus they had curbside pickup. It's been a while since I checked out the other guys but it seems like they made progress during or post-Covid where Costco is still in the 90s. While I can't believe that my executive (or even gold star) membership is what keeps Costco in business there has to be a less intrusive way to police the members. The long lines here make us temperamental enough, one more intrusion really doesn't help their bottom dollar when I hand in my card.Maybe repurpose those two checkers to opening another lane and up the all holy hotdog price $0.25 and move on.

I used to love going to this Costco , now with their self checkout , it is very much frustrating when u want to checkout . Self checkout supposed to make your life easier and faster, but this Costco has several employees standing by the register with hand held scanners but not willing to help out. They just stand there policing customers like criminals. It is already very annoying to lift up everything and leave it on the counter then move it back to cart. This is a whole sale shop with bulk/big items and they expect you to lift and move them back and forth and May I remind you you have to leave everything on the counter until you paid in full . With bulk items counter is small . May I suggest to provide hand held device at each counter and put those employees to work, we know when a counter opens up and we know when to go there .

I want to extend a heartfelt "Thanks" to Carlos who is an employee at the Costco in Orland Park, IL for so graciously assisting me by loading 5 cases of the 40-count bottled water in my cart. He was a God-send, as I am a 64 year old female and I didn't want to tackle that task by myself. Thanks again Carlos. I truly appreciated your help today.
