Revised and updated review. I previously rated the Geek Squad 5 stars. A little too hasty....Long story short, in my opinion, the Geek Squad Protection Plan (GSP) is a waste of money. It only covers repairs for your item. If they (Geek Squad) determine that it is not repairable, then they keep the item (in my case a laptop) close your GSP (repair plan) and send you on your way to buy a new item. What incentive do they have to actually repair it? I am sure I will see my old laptop sold online as refurbished. Done with them and Best Buy.

If you have something that is going to need a bit of troubleshooting to figure out, you’re probably going to be waiting a while. These guys are pretty much always backed up with the amount of work they have to do so i don’t put blame on them. besides that, they did a pretty good job helping me with my computer and communicating with me. If you’re not as tech savvy, these guys will tell you exactly what’s going on with what you’re bringing in and even give you suggestions after it’s fixed for improvements (preventative maintenance, parts to consider replacing in the future, etc.) overall if you aren’t in a rush to get whatever you’re bringing in back in working condition these guys are probably your best bet.

The two “older” Geek Squad members were extremely rude when I brought a Bluetooth laptop mouse in for repair—a mouse I purchased at Best Buy, no less. “There is no way we can help you! We can’t connect to Bluetooth here in the store so we can’t even try to fix it.” The poor young man who was an obvious new addition to the team looked at me sheepishly and embarrassingly. Do not shop at this joke of a store.

Pretty great but because I can't answer on price is cause I purchased the 1 yr subscription 199.99 and it takes care of everything and I mean everything except certain phones like I phone but other then that love the service and Jason the service manager os very very informative along with his workers very professional will Def be doing business with them again on any of my electronics that have been broken

I don’t know what’s up with this specific location, but NOBODY wants to answer the phone. Last time I was in there (about a week ago) I wanted to test a theory.Went shopping around the store, decided to call the store while inside to see first hand what’s really going on with the phones not being answered. Lo and behold, I watched employees standing around and not answering any calls. Called several times, was connected to different departments and not one employee bothered to answer any phone. Puts a bad taste in my mouth!

The Geek Squad was so humble...they didn't charge me for being unable to fix my situation. They even told me where else I could go to seek help...who does that?My hero's.

I have worked with Best Buy with numerous computers, ipads, gps, washer dryer, you name it, i trust them. Always responsive, helpful. You should be proud.
