There is never more than four lanes open and the lines are very long with cranky cashiers. I have stopped shopping here because I don't like waiting for 20minutes in line to check out. Self checkout is always busy too and the machines never work right. With high prices and long lines I'm done with Meijer.

I've been shopping at the Oswego store for years. Besides having very competitive pricing, you also have solid products, from the main name brands to your experiment with Fredrick's (I tried some and they were spot on). But my main reason for writing is the team in self checkout. They're always gracious and accommodating. Keep it up! You're a good team! I hope the Meijer leadership treats you well, because you deserve it! Side note, Meijer reusable bags, the big ones, are awesome! Just bought my 4th, and now I'm set. The only thing I wish is if you'd bring back the long handles. Your early bags were the best of the best.

App Order: I arrived to pick up my grocery order. The employee came out and said that payment failed. So I gave her the exact same card. Then she disappeared for a long time. I called the pickup customer service number to ask if she was coming back. An employee told me that they had to take my order to the front and re ring everything. So I continued to wait. The previous employee eventually came back, loaded the vehicle, and we left. When we unpacked our groceries it was a mishmash of things that weren't ours and half of our ($265) order was missing. So I called to tell her that there was a problem with the order. That I had gotten someone else's groceries, and someone had gotten half of mine. Her response? No. I remember putting those in your car. Over and over. That there was nothing she could do for me. That they were closing, and her manager wasn't there. She remembers putting them in! What vehicle do you remember putting them in? Her response again? "My memory isn't that great." (but she remembers!) "I think it was a gray SUV." Which was way off base. But she remembers. So rather than just say hey, we made a mistake somewhere (because let's remember, I also have someone else's groceries) she just doubles down on basically accusing me of trying to scam her, because SHE REMEMBERS! I'll bet she remembers putting that other sap's groceries in their car too. So here are my missing items: Tampax radiant, tortillas, regular marshmallows, chocolate raisins, vanilla raisins, hot dog buns x3, gluten free hot dog buns, raisin nut bran, 6 pack of hershey bars, 2 cases of San Pellegrino, a box of Larabars, a giant jug of maple syrup, a 74 count box of Pull-Ups, graham crackers, and fancy expensive marshmallows. So if you're out there, I have your bag of potatoes, Dunkin Donuts coffee, cliff bars, nectarines, organic bananas, celery, 4 bottles of Prego, and 2 cucumbers. Hope you don't wake up tomorrow and then realize you're out of coffee.

I have trouble finding foods safe for my many allergies and good vegan options. When I called a lady was so helpful on the phone with me going through product by product to let me know if they carry it before I drove there. This saved me so much time not searching for items they don't carry but grabbing what they did. The lady on the phone deserves 5 stars. The missing star is that there are a number of products for vegans and those with allergies that it would be nice if this store added.

Have been shopping this store since it opened over 10 years ago. It's close, convenient and prices are lower than most other stores. That being said quality has gone way down in the areas that are most important...produce and meats. Oswego needs another grocery store on the west side to force them to up their game. I've been taking my business to Jewel on Orchard and soon to move all of my buying elsewhere.

Placed an app pickup order over the weekend and immediately noticed a few missing items. I went into the store Monday and spoke with Joanne L. who was quick to agree she could see 1 mistake on my order but was adamant about the other item not being a mistake regardless of seeing the screenshot of my mperks with the time stamp from the weekend. She refused to help any further. I asked her how she could clearly admit 1 error and claim the other was impossible. Again she would not help further. Absolutely ridiculous. It's $3.00 savings with the sale and coupon but how often would something like this happen if I used their service for pickup. Do they make it a common practice to rip off their customers like this. Unfortunate practices by this store.

I love Meijer. Prices are reasonable compared to other stores. They have m-perks which gives you rewards. A lot of coupons. Their pharmacy offers great m-perks for your prescriptions and can be used for groceries or other departments. They have a huge selection of produce, proteins, clothes and household products.

I am very disappointed with Meijer. I've been shopping the Oswego IL location since they opened, every week. Since January 1 2022, my HSA card no longer works at the pharmacy. I was told by one of the pharmacy employees the issue was a change that occurred in their system which caused the register to be seen only as "grocery", rather than "pharmacy" and my card would no longer work. I called the store three times and spoke with managers, they promised to get back to me and never did. My card works fine at other locations, so I moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy. I can't be the only one this issue affected. Your lack of concern for the problem and lack of action taken once notified is pretty poor customer service. Between that and the rudeness of the older woman at the self-check out when I had a problem with your finicky self-scanner, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Not that you care I am certain, but shame on you Meijer for failing to take care of a customer.

Every time we shop their they are out of sale items. You have to read the very small print on the tag. Example They print buy 1 get one then in very very small print that you can bearly see with glasses, it is half off of equal or less.. that is very deceiving

Scheduled a grocery pick up and called when I arrived. Associate said it would be out shortly. Waited 20 minutes and received a call that it wasn't picked and they would call when ready. Asked why I was jot informed of that when I called initially and before I waited 20 minutes. The associated just hung up.

I was very upset with how this store miss treated an elderly lady who is employed with them! As I walked in they had no carts up front and one of the young men that worked their scolding her to go grab them ! Then as I was checking out I saw confrontation at the front desk with the same elderly woman . As I was leaving my heart hurt for her so I approached her and asked if she was ok , she held back the tears and gently told me she was fine and that look behind you, we have the carts filled she added with a smile fighting back with a tear !! What ???? You have got to be kidding me ?? She grabbed all those ? Her manager just so happened to be standing next to her on the phone so I waited for him to get off ! I told him the story but felt he just made excuses for everyone else but this elderly woman who is our mother's age Mr. Tom!! P. S . If that was her friend at the front desk , I wouldn't want to be yelled at by one of my friends like the way she treated her :/ So very sad how people get treated:( I told her it wasn't ok and that Jesus loves her and wouldn't treat her this way!! Sad customer experience!!

All of this store is ... Yes, please. Craft section is inspirational Toy section so much fun Batteries are easy to find Light selection has 6 types of chandelier bulbs AND twinkle lights Food selection, obvi Coke with Coffee is my new find, thanks to you! Meijer Employees: Thank you!

I like the fact that I can purchase food , plants and clothes all in one location. Employees have all been polite in fact I was told by the man collecting shopping carts that my right brake light was out. I would not have known that till I got pulled over LOL

First of all this is a bunch of crap. You work for meijer for starters. It was my fist time there and they didn't say anything about breaks. Later I was immensely dehydrated and extremely nauseous, felt like I was gonna die. And another thing is I have I.B.S. so that's technically considered a disability under meijer. I used to work for meijer in aurora and why do you think everyone is choosing to go there.......because oswego is horrible. Even during my Tim's at Meijer (Aurora) #178, all the employees said that most of them worked or knew somebody who worked at the Oswego meijer and said it literally sucks, and it does!!!!! Plus not everyone was wearing masks, the policy of meijer stipulates that everyone wears a mask including if you have a medical condition. Extremely disappointed and also highly dissatisfied. Save yourself and don't do Hyer at Oswego......you'll regret it like I did!!!!
