This store has 0 experience on anything or doesn't like customer service at all. Walked in, noticed 1 person at the register. Waited until everyone was taken cared of, then was told, let me take care of the person behind you. Ok. Asked about a certain product, out of stock, next product, out of stock. The person just walked away and left me with a product to try and didn't return. Finally 1 more employee returned. I asked about a difference product and was quick to tell me we only have the most expensive one in the store and when I asked about a different one, she quickly said we do not have anything else and walked away. Did my own search and found 3 different brands with what I needed. Took it to the counter and she was quick to ring me up then, while refusing to acknowledge me and making conversation with her coworker. Extremely rude among other things. I always shop at Sephora in Batavia. Excellent customer service every single time. I'll be making my trips back over from now on.

Absolutely horrid customer service.
I mainly shop online at sephora due to there not being an actual store near me. I'm a long time, rogue status customer ($1000 worth of purchases/yr). Super dedicated sephora customer, loved this brand over its competitors.
I've popped in to THIS specific location several times. It's messy, I usually go when I need to smell-before-buy, and there's a lot of empty or broken testers. I've found products that appear to be out of stock, hidden behind other products wayyyy too often. It's a tiny store, the retail workers should be lining everything up appropriately. MOST DISTURBING is everytime I have gone there, I am followed around by an employee. It's such an odd, off-putting situation, as I'm always browsing appropriately, never using makeup testers, only fragrances. Today I came in attempting to return a gift, that unfortunately did not come with a gift receipt. Original packaging, FROM SEPHORA, only wanted to exchange it for something I'd actually use. I was told NO in less than 2 min. The employee didn't even attempt to scan the barcode to verify it was indeed from their store. As a former retail employee, my managers would've NEVER allowed me to dismiss someone so easily.
Now I'm stuck with my sole bday gift that was over $100, that I'll never use, with the inability to exchange it at a store that I spend over $1000 shopping at each year. They absolutely DO NOT value their customers.
Save your money and time, ulta is next door and Nordstroms or Macy's carry the same fragrances and will accept your exchange.

I will NEVER buy anything at any sephora in Kohl’s I bought an item that gave me allergy to my skin and they wouldn’t take my return because it has been 31 days. I wasn’t asking for my money back I just wanted a stored credit or to exchange the item was almost new because it was only used once. I reached out to the sephora and I was told they have the same return policy of 60 days from the day of the purchase but they still wouldn’t do it. I will much rather buy online in store purchases is very disappointing

Just make the drive to the Naperville location, don’t waste your time or money here.

I went in to buy a couple things, the lady who assisted me was nice but I’ve worked retail before/and have been a manager before so I know the signs of “watching customers”. I didn’t give any reason for them to watch me, I was trying on concealers and even told the associate what color I was debating on. They had a guy come up to me who looked like he worked in the regular kohls department not sephora, a few seconds after I talked to the lady. He came up to me and said “did someone already come and assist you” I didn’t even ask for assistance but by the way he asked. You would’ve thought I did, I told him I was fine and thank you. I could tell that they were watching me. It automatically made me feel uncomfortable, I called the Naperville location and put the items back so I can spend my money elsewhere. I won’t be coming to this location anymore, they definitely were profiling me which is sad on their part. I don’t know what the issue is. But it was pretty obvious, the customer behind me asked the guy for help and he goes “oh I don’t work here in this area, I’ll grab someone who does”…so how was he going to “assist” me if then? I’ve never stole anything in my life, and my dad is a police officer himself lol it’s 2023, I can understand being cautious but there is a way to do it and it should only be done if someone actually looks suspicious. I went to the Naperville Location with no issues and had a great experience, ended up spending well over $150.

Went into the Kohls specifically for Sephora. It was dirty and not kept at all. I put the $200+ I was going to buy because I couldn’t give my money to place that looked like that. Seriously, people won’t pay $50+ for primer if the environment is not at the very least clean. Wasn’t greeted, was even asked if I needed help. I believe the person working there was wearing a Columbia fleece, but I am not sure. Disappointing and sadly I wouldn’t be back to do Sephora in store.

It’s sad that your hiring manager took one look at a person and couldn’t even have the decency to perform a basic 20 min interview. If you don’t want to hire someone fine, but at least be courteous enough to sit down with the person then call them later to let them know they didn’t get the job, don’t degrade them by lying to their face and making them feel horrible AFTER they were scouted by one of your employees. Can obviously see inclusion and diversity isn’t something Sephora actually promotes.

Worst experience at a Sephora. Asked for help finding a product and no one could help me. Manager was very rude when I wanted to speak to her.

Don’t like how the manager treated a woman who came in for an interview at 9 in the morning, was unprepared and looked at her sideways. Tell her at the end the positions were filled, but she inform the woman that she had another interview at 2 that afternoon. Doesn’t make sense! Definitely don’t recommend working at this location if you are a woman of color!
