I adopted a wonderful little, male kitty last week! He is adapting to my 3 year old male cat!! They are almost to the point of looking at each other and NOT turning away and walking the other direction! Little by little!!

Barb's is an amazing place. They care in a way that others don't. All of our rescues have come from them and each and every one has been a blessing. The facility is well run and taken care of and their love of what they do shows every day.

We found a stray, and out of all the shelters I reached out to, Barb’s was the only one who responded and was able to take him the same day. BARB’S PRECIOUS RESCUE AND ADOPTION CENTER in Palatine Illinois opened its our doors in 2014. Since then, we have been a safe haven for more than 5000 cats and kittens that have been abused, abandoned, homeless or neglected. Our Rescue provides food, shelter, and medical services -- including an on-site veterinarian -- all with the hope of finding a forever home for each and every animal in our care. We are 100% supported by public donations and a volunteer staff. We are a not-for-profit, 501(C)(3) organization with ALL funds directly assisting our animals. Barb’s Precious Rescue is a no-kill, cage-free shelter.
