Jim was great to work with in the store, he was patient with us, and let us take our time, unbothered, while reviewing the selections.
The installers and their lack of professionalism, however, are the reason for the lower score. They refused shoe covers and walked with their shoes through the house, then tracked dust and carpet pieces throughout. They left water bottles, damage to the baseboards and walls. It felt like they were more in a rush to get done than to get the job done correctly. After discussing this with Jim, he wasn't phased by the issues and said we should have expected a little cleanup despite being told the installers would clean up after themselves. They were instructed to leave the old carpet for us to throw out, but they didn't bother to bag it up for trash. We paid $1500 for two rooms and I still had to do a lot myself. We wanted to support a local business but the whole effort was pretty average.

600 ft² of carpet with stairs. Jim was very easy to work with. The installers were very professional and did their job with no messing around. No complaints on this end.

My experience shopping at Carpet Outlet in Palatine has been amazing. Jim the owner is the nicest, most patient and honest man. He has a very large selection of good quality carpets to choose from that were within my budget. Louis and Jason installed my carpet and they were fantastic. They showed up on time and worked quickly yet efficently. I would highly recommend Carpet Outlet.

We were looking for new carpet for our family room for quite some time, but most places only had a small selection to choose from, or were just too expensive. It wasn't until we met Jim at Carpet Outlet that we were finally able to find the perfect carpet with his help. Carpet Outlet has a wide variety of carpets to choose from, all at very reasonable prices. Jim guided us through our carpet selection process, and did an amazing job at helping us find the carpet we needed. I would definitely recommend buying carpet from Carpet Outlet.

I worked with Bill at Carpet Outlet. In addition to other carpet stores, I also received pricing from a small warehouse that purchases factory remnants. The same brand/model/padding was quoted by several vendors. Carpet Outlet had the lowest out-the-door prices.Their showroom has a huge range of options. The carpet was available for installation about two weeks after it was ordered. Bill was able to schedule the installation within one week of receiving the carpeting from the factory. The installation was exactly what I expected; no issues at all. I highly recommend Carpet Outlet. I particularly appreciated Bill's no-pressure sales approach.

The best place to get carpet and flooring. The staff was so knowledgeable and nice. They have great pricing! Our carpet looks amazing and the installers were kind and considerate. If you looking for new flooring only look here!

First time customer bought carpet for out stairs. Very happy with sales staff in the store, as well as the installation. Everyone was very nice, and communicated with us very well. Will use again.
