my wife visited them for a slow air leak ~5psi per month and after 30 mnutes of work they said they can't fix it because 2 large holes are too close to each other. When I showed them a picture of the tire before without any holes but with a small nail there they explained that they needed to make these holes to remove the nail......

Second part the MANAGER ADAM TOOK THE TIME TO CALLED ME OUT OF HIS BUSSY SCHEDULE, lISTEN TO ME FIX THE WHOLE THING GAVE MY FRIEND SUSAN AN UPGRADE OF 2 TIRES NOT 1 TIRE FREE OF CHARGE. FOR THAT DISCOUNT TIRES OF PALATINE AND MANAGER ADAM DESERVES A 5 PLUS START RATE!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!

Has no customer service-SKILS ! treat customers poorly given them an attitude as well as coworker Gary, treating him as inferior.
Jason told me not to come back to discount tire in the future. WHO HE IS TO FIRE ME AS A CLIENT and refereeing friend Sue Darman and sister Ana Calderón, my self I’m an old client who has purchased tires and rims in past.
Jason lie to me in my face I asked for Gary because he was the one who sells co me the tired for Sue Darman new client who I referred to discount T. Said he was not available he was in the back working. He was not 5 minutes later Gary was on his desk.
Jason said I’m not going to finish installing the tired take your key. The paid tire has been install in the rim. We had an appointment At 4 pm we still need to wait 1 hour. Jason was just doing on purpose.
I took Sue D. Tire and rim installed it myself.

Scheduled a 2pm Wed appointment. Arrived on time. Asked for my keys and left at 3:30pm since my car had yet to be pulled into the garage. It's been over a decade since I've been to a Discount Tire. Now I remember why I stopped coming in the first place.
STAY AWAY if you value your time!

Went twice to get very slow air leak checked. Focus was more on selling new tires instead of at least diagnosing. First time, was told they found leak at the valve and have fixed it. A week later the guy wouldn't even want to check. Apparently 6/32 became 4/32 in driving about 100 miles. Just found the leak myself using soap water and plugged the damn thing. Eventually i wil need new tires but it wont be from you guys. I can understand you dont charge for flat repair but at least be honest about it. Or just charge money no issue with that.

Not too sure what's going on at this location (208 E Rand Rd., Mount Prospect)...I had an appointment with discount tire last week (9/7/24) because one of my tires that I purchased from them earlier this year (2/2024) was leaking air. After they checked out the tire (which has the warranty) I was informed that the tire was in good condition and that it was the wheel (aka the rim) that had corrosion. I was informed that they had cleaned/removed the corrosion from the wheel and that all was good. A week later the air leaked out of the same tire again. This time my son-in-law took the car to the same location. They rechecked the tire to see if the tire itself was leaking (with my son-in-law observing them) and once again the tire is in good condition. They then tell him it's the wheel/rim that has corrosion and they informed him that it looked like somebody just painted over the corrosion last week and never cleaned/removed the corrosion. My son-in-law told them that a week ago I was at the exact same location. WHAT IS GOING ON AT THIS LOCATION?!! THEY LIED THEY ARE DECEPTIVE!!

I would not recommend anyone to this place. Front desk staff are very very very rude and their wait time is 4 hours if you booked the appointment in advance. Also, their prices are very high and quality is very very very worst. I would suggest go and check it out to Costco and some other places. I am not going to return anymore at this place. They always asked to installed new tires with low mileage. BEWARE OF SCAM.

They were able to patch my tire free of charge which was super nice. I did have to wait 50 minutes but if you make an appointment online it’s faster. Staff seemed nice and helpful. Would recommend.

I Purchased 4 tires from Discount Tire in Palatine 3 years ago and have since put approximately 23,000 miles on them. When I visited the store a couple weeks ago to have the tires rotated, I was told the treads on all 4 tires were worn and they could not rotate them. They said they would offer me $100 off for three of the tires towards replacement and nothing on the fourth tire because it was exceptionally bad. I have since had other facilities look at them and they found no problem with the tires. I do not feel like I was given an honest assessment of my tires and will never buy anything from the company again and never refer them to anyone.

Worst service ever wish I could give them zero stars there were people coming in for a warranty that got serviced before me and left before me and arrived after me. I was also there for service on a warranty and other people that were purchasing the customer service given to people who purchase insurance I would never buy the insurance Due to the fact, they will try to upsell you if you don’t buy anything they will tell you it’s gonna take hours for replacement
