Upsetting, giving one star but honestly dont know who to blame. I booked on Expedia a week prior, got the email confirmation # and was given a 12pm pick up time on a Saturday. Unfortunately there was an accident next to the location and by the time I got around the roadblock I arrived at 12:02pm, only to find out that Hertz closed at 12:00pm!! The doors were locked and not one employee on site. Why would I be given an appointment for pickup at 12pm when they close at 12pm? To make things worse it was Saturday and every other location was closed and I could not find another car rental. I called Hertz and they said I have to call Expedia for a refund. I called Expedia and they told me they gotta call Hertz for the refund. Looks like trying to get a refund is harder than I thought. Im waiting to hear back and hopefully ill be refunded, but still that didnt help as I couldn't find another rental as everything is closed on Sunday. Wish they would have just told me to pick up the car at 1130am. Im super frustrated

They have no idea what’s going on there. We made a reservation and received confirmation, but when we arrived, no vehicles were available, using the excuse of a “last-minute reservation.”

BOGUS GAS CHARGE! I typically never write reviews but I felt the need to this time because I was so irritated. I was getting car fixed down the street at car dealer and my car was not going to be ready by close so they asked if i would be ok with a loaner. They drove me to Hertz. I drove home (1.5 miles), next day drove to work (11 miles), drove back to dealer (11 miles), car still not ready so drove home to wait (1.5 miles) then drove back to dealer (1.5 miles). Note: prior to driving back to the dealer the first time, I stopped and put $5.00 of gas in the car which is over a gallon of gas. I also took a picture of the gas tank when I picked it up to note where the gas needle was and also in that picture, it shows that the car gets 39 miles to the gallon! If you add up the miles that I drove..its not even 39 miles so how did they think I shorted them a gallon? They charged my credit card $11.55 for a gallon and when I called to ask about it they said I was a wee bit short! No way! My mistake was not taking a picture of the gas tank when I dropped the car back off at the dealer. I ended up disputing charge on my cc and they removed the charge. Never had a problem before when returning rental cars in but now i know to definitely take pics to document pickup and return and gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the guy who took care of me initially when picked up was friendly and kind.

Absolutely wonderful, they were extremely busy... They made me felt seen and helped me as quickly as possible. My car was totaled but Bill and Allen made it a better day. Just remember when reading reviews personal bias is a thing... All the issues I've read here don't seem to be present.
Thank you for getting me back on the road...
Edgar, Bill & Allen.... You guys made a very horrible day into a manageable one... I even smiled there... Thank you.

Actually, everything was great, but I had to drop off the keys in the night box and I never got the license plate number so I could pay my toll charge directly to the state. It is completely impossible to get through the maze and reach a person who could give me that information. If I understand correctly, unless I get this information, I will have to pay an additional$10 when hertz processes the toll fees through their system. If hertz can reach out to me, I would gladly change the rating to a 5. I returned the Nissan rogue on 4/11 at 7:55 am.

I will give them zero, made a booking 2 months in advance and on the pickup date booked car not available and they didn’t offer any other option. I asked them to check other locations or even airport but hertz wanted to charge 350 more for giving me smaller car than I booked no accountability or responsibility towards clients does not matter to them about clients plans, never using them again

They took advantage of my elderly mother, made her wait in the cold forever at pickup, then upon return told her there was a crack on the windshield she would have to pay for. Now she has to figure that out while on fixed income. Kept her for 40 min, almost making her miss her plane. Avoid this place.
