I am always in awe of how helpful some of these Home Depot employees are when I have questions about anything and everything Home Depot related - installing string lights, fixing things around the house, and this time, painting! Matt (in the painting department) was super helpful in answering all my questions, pointing me to all the materials I needed, the expensive and the cheaper options. As a first time painter, I didn't even know all the questions I needed to ask. I showed him what I was planning to do, and he gave me even more tips...things I would never think of! It seems like every time we come to Home Depot, 4/5 times we'll talk to an employee who has experience in what we're trying to do and great advice with how to do it and what materials we'd need for buy for it. With their expertise alone, I wonder why they don't get paid more. Thanks Matt and Home Depot for a great experience.

I have always purchased paint from this Palatine Home Depot in the past, as there use to be some very good managers and employees (Angelo, Steve, Jinsu & Paul in that department. However, since Paul (the remaining Mgr.) left about a year ago, the service has really gone down. Now it seems that it is impossible to actually match a paint color with their scanner and that friendly/helpful service they use to have, is gone. As a result, I have purchased my paint from Menards in Long Grove, who are really much better.

I wanted to recognize Aaron, one of the Store Managers of the Palatine Home Depot. He truly understands customer service and should be commended for the way he conducts himself and how that store is ran. If it wasn't for him I would go elsewhere.

Unbelievable. Placed a large window order in the beginning of April. Was scheduled for a mid July install through this store. End of June/beg of July was called and told install was cancelled because of a Home Depot error. Not rescheduled… supposed to receive calls back to schedule ASAP. Issue elevated to level 3+ and no calls back. The only time I speak to someone is when I call the 877 number. I have called the 877 number and every time it ends with the same promise of someone, an install manager, calling me back. No progress… Now I’m asked to be patient and give another 3 months for an install. I have no intention of using this company again and Would never recommend this company. Unbelievable.

The home Depot has been in my town for awhile. I like the employees and their knowledge of the store and their knowledge with many household building needs. We went to the paint department in search of stain which turned out to be discontinued, Liza helped pick a product and tint it to match exactly what we were working with, her help was much appreciated and i know where i will be coming next time i need custom paint. I also really like the self propelled Ryobi mower, which I bought here. Thank you Jerry and Maura for the info and extra part that was missing!

Terrible customer service. this was a second time at Home Depot in Palatine, IL and my experience was just terrible. I was thinking maybe the first time the person who took care was us had a bad day. beacuse was unprofessional, could not make a return, blamed me for not being able to located the the right sku number to scan. this time I went to pick up items I ordered online yesterday. They were on stock, ready to pick up. I waited over an hour to learn from an upset customer service female that they don't carry the sink I order. when I asked about the 3 Kohler toilets that I ordered, she said that they were cancelled. I did not cancel them. they had the toilets on stock. and I was told " you cannot pick something that was canecelled". no eye contact, no respect for the customer. I asked to talk to the manager, Justin came- he should go back for training. no conflict resolution skills, no customer service skills. knowing that our order was cancelled by someone, he did not even offered to help us out get the toilets that were on stock. Racist and unprofessional staff. will never go back there. spent total of almost 2 hours of wasted time. I went to HD at Randhurst got what I needed I less than 30 minutes plus we were offer how to load the items to the truck

I like this store. It always has products in stock. It is clean, organized and well maintained. There are always knowledgeable employees available to answer questions. I always find them very polite and helpful. From guiding you to locate a product, giving suggestions on how to do a project and which materials would work best, or assisting you to load your car, they always do it with a smile and "glad to help."

I genuinely enjoy this store. The staff are helpful, and the store almost always has exactly what I am looking for. While on the pricey side for some items, compared to other big-box hardware stores in the area they are a good and reliable place to shop.

Item I ordered got to store at 5:32 am on 10/1/20 Status of order says should be able to pick up on 10/1/20. Called store at 2:00pm on 10/1/20 and they stated they do not unload the truck until at night.. They need to either unload the truck when it comes in or state something differently as to when it should be able to be picked up. Bad system. They lost any future orders from me.

NO ONE IS HELPFUL! GO TO MENARDS DOWN THE STREET!! I keep telling my mom to stop coming here. Many stories, recently yesterday, she needed a drill to drill a hole in a wooden plank. There are so many types and brands she doesn't know. Employees do not help. When you finally find one they seem like we are inconveniencing them. Unhelpful. The guy pointed to one and said that should work. We asked if it's everything we need. Nope! Where tf are the pieces to put in the drill to make the hole!!!!!!? He said everything is included in the kit!! What a waste of time.

My dad and i have a plumbing business and we previously used my phone for payment everytime at the self check out. About a week ago it stopped working completely. I spend about $50000 year at Home Depot. I don't know it change you made to your system, but if I cannot make payments the of my phone I will have to shop somewhere else

This review is strictly regarding the customer service - terrible. My only compliment is to Herb in flooring. He's wonderful and incredibly helpful. The employees seem to not have any knowledge of products or services. Some are friendly but too many were not very pleasant, almost rude and annoyed to be helping you. Also, I don't think it's professional to tell a paying customer that I could have just ordered my material online... yes, I'm aware but I needed to be here for another reason as well so maybe just take my money and place the order....?
