My review continues to be as posted. If I could give less than 1star I would. Stay clear of this Bank. As any intelligent person would assess, a bank representative resolving the issue by saying "message us" is neither professional or adequate for the customer. Either the promotion postcard saying "current resident" is valid to open an account and receive the $200. or they are clearly looking for any reason to avoid the payout. As I explained to Margaret, I am the resident 4 days per week, as I work from Ohare. It should not be any concern to them what my living situation is. I have been 100% transparent. They have not. There are so many banking establishments nearby that value business. Choose one other than Palatine Trust. They have the worst customer care I have experienced.

I prefer to use smaller banks if i must use a bank. The teller at this wintrust location refused to cash a payroll check written from another wintrust charter without trying to check the balance in my personal account. I just want to cash the check their customer wrote to me and get the cash I'm owed that this bank is holding. What is the point of a check if it cant be cashed at the bank that holds the money?

I was living in Chicago for a short time and during that time shuttered my Citibank account after finding out how many scandals they were involved in. Let me just leave it at two words KeystoneXL Pipeline. Don't get me wrong the manager of the Palatine Citibank branch was a great guy but I got sick of the fees, sick of the having to have a certain amount of money in my account or a mortgage or this or that to get around this fee and that fee. Citibank went from being personal and easy to work with to being an evil force in the world. Enter the world of Wintrust. I started my account in the city and with a few minutes of work with a teller at PB&T my accounts were transitioned. I can count on both hands the amount of times I have visited this branch but already they don't even want my ID or debit card when I bring a filled out deposit slip in. They know me here already! That was pretty fast. Their bankers are exceptional people and the bank it's self is a charming building to visit. My only issue with it is the parking lot is janky, but I refuse to dock them a star for being in a janky location. It's been there forever and I wouldn't be surprised if the bank was there before the invention of the automobile. As I said earlier the building is large but charming to go inside of and carries a historic but current vibe to it. If you're looking to get away from the big evil banks but don't want to deal with the limitations that credit unions typically have but still have the credit union feel and level of service with the convenience and ease of use factor of a big bank then Wintrust family banks are the way to go!

Dumped behemoth Citibank for multiple customer service issues. Ahhh... finally a bank again that knows how to be a bank with an eye on the needs of the customer. Same with the related Wauconda bank. I'm guessing all the Wynntrust banks have the right balance of technology and customer service.

Excellent example of the feeling of a family owned bank. No crazy fees like the big banks. Friendly personal tellers and Bridget is an excellent manager who understands good customer service

A bank where everyone knows your name and works for you! For several years, my mother banked at Palatine Bank and Trust. P.B.T. is a small town bank where the tellers knew my parent's by first name and genuinely cared about them and their money. My mother dealt extensively with Bridget, who always expressed genuine kindness to her and offered her the best advice for her accounts. If you are looking for a bank where they care about you as a person first and are committed to giving you their personal and professional best, then trust in Palatine Bank and Trust!
