Like many others have noted, I had no issues with USPS until the past few months. Recently, however, I’ve experienced repeated delays, inaccurate tracking updates, lost packages, prolonged inactivity, and bizarre routing between facilities. The Palatine location, in particular, seems to be a consistent source of these problems.
I don’t know what systemic changes have occurred within USPS to cause such widespread disruption, but it’s clear that something is broken. These ongoing issues are not just inconvenient—they affect people’s property, money, and time. The lack of accountability is deeply frustrating and frankly unacceptable.

Like so many others have said, my packages sit in Palatine for days, then go back to Chicago, back to Palatine for an another few days. Then maybe it comes to me or it ends up at some other random post office 30 miles from me. This happens constantly. Most recently, I had 2 packages at this location one was on day 3 and the other one came and went in less than a day.

once upon a time, i could get excited when my package arrived at palatine. it meant it would be delivered the next day, sometimes even the same day, but not anymore. now? palatine loves to receive packages from chicago, only to send them right back, instead of directing them to the appropriate local post office for delivery. at this point, it feels intentional. i have had numerous packages, in the past couple days alone, that are being endlessly bounced back and forth from chicago, back to palatine, back to chicago. this has never been an issue for the three years i have lived in this area, but suddenly they are incapable of successfully distributing packages to local facilities. i wish i could go pick it up myself, since they have no intention of making sure anyone gets their packages in a timely manner.

Let me guess. You're on Google reviews because your package or mail is stuck at Palatine Distribution Center. Join the club. Amazing how Philadelphia and Indianapolis moved my package through in less than 24 hours, but here? Someone needs to write to their senator to get this place investigated.

Over last two weeks THREE of my packages has been missent from here to three random post offices. No one is able to tell me, when will I receive them. Tracking numbers still not updating. Are you people serious?

Don't come here if you need to pay for postage or anything. It's a processing center. You can only drop stuff off to mail if it's already ready to mail. Otherwise, go to a regular post office.

Every time a package ends up in Palatine Distribution center it gets lost and no one cares. Second time in 3 years my year supply of contacts goes missing for weeks.

Sent a certified letter with my rent, check to my landlord. Somebody stole the check, altered it and cashed it. That person's name is Kinta payne.. The police department has been notified and will be looking for them. Watch your packages going through this distribution center.
