Me and Oreo and first time vistor Disney is at the clinic once again Dec 21,2023 Very clean clinic. Wonderful friendly staff. I absolutely love the place and staff I don't know why so many negative reviews. My experience with the front desk staff are very nice. Anytime I emailed them for any request they respond right away. The Drs are fantastic and very gentle and kind with the pets. They gave all my cats a bag of free gifts on they first visit. Free food and flea treatment and the price is very reasonable. And if you have a coupon it makes it even cheaper. My number 1 vet for Sabrina Huff Young Cats

I started going to this clinic in 1994'. they have recently changed hands and not for the better. Although we have found a different vet for our other animals I have kept taking my one cat there because we LOVE Dr. Wild for this particular cat. they understood each other lol. I called yesterday because he was limping and his paw was visibly swollen. I told them I was affraid it was broken. His paw was accidentally stepped on the day prior and he showed no improvement so fearing a possible break he needs to be seen. I was told they could get him in Wednesday. SIX DAYS LATER!!!! Seriously!! They would have my cat in pain with a possible broken leg/paw for SIX days before seeing him. we are done with this place. i will miss Dr. Wild and Jerry! For the record, I called my other vet and my guy was seen first thing this morning.

They used to have 8 doctors working there and now have 3. They don't do walk in's even if your dog is sick. They make you wait for a sick appt 4-5 days. Front staff are very rude and allowed to be that way. I have been breeding Great Danes for 17 years and going there for about 10+ years. When it was Forest South even though front staff was rude they had many doctors and everything ran smoothly. Then VCA TOOK IT OVER and it was no longer the place to go with your beloved family members. One of our Great Danes was dying and needed to be put down at the age of 13. They took him to a room and then called us in. The doctor walked in with injections in her hands and we didn't even have a chance to talk to our dog who looked scared and confused before she knelt down and put him out and then injected him with the medicine to stop his heart. She stood up and said you can stay with him as long as you like and she left the room. My husband said what just happened? We didn't even get a chance to talk to him and reassure him that everything is fine and now he is dead. I DO NOT recommend this place and everyone who has gotten pups from me over the years do yourself and your pet a favor and go elsewhere. I wish I could given them a 0 rating because this place is the worst.

Pretty disappointed with this place. Been coming here for years but when my doggo blew his TPLO, they wouldn't help. Told me it would be over a week until I could get an appointment and wasn't too keen on any real referrals. My dog was in pain and in need of meds until the surgery could be scheduled. After this BS, I'm taking all four of my animals to Flossmoor Animal Hospital. They helped and were very supportive and sympathetic. These people at VCA are all about the dollar and could care less about you or your animals. I'd take my chances at a Tijuana taco cart before I went back here. Sad...

This location has been my dogs primary care facility and I've always had great experiences with the veterinarians. The front desk however are extremely rude for no reason at all.

Our Pug, Jade went to this vet FAITHFULLY, since 9 weeks old. She passed away TODAY at the age of 8 years old. When we called to inform, Brittany (receptionist) answered the phone. She was completely INSENSITIVE (a common theme amongst newer staff there). She shared NO CONDOLENCES etc. ... her words, "Okaaay." Then proceeded to say that Jade's account was deactivated. They received information from the emergency vet (not even 4 hours ago) and basically said FUCK OFF. Imagine all the investment with an animal hospital for 8+ years ... doggie daycare, grooming, boarding, care club, dental cleanings, surgery etc. Without a single, moment of condolences extended to a grieving family that LOVED their fur baby girl, as a human child. SO, VCA Forest South needs an internal cleansing - meaning TRAIN YOUR RUDE, INSENSITIVE STAFF! Remember, LOYAL CLIENTS (now FORMER) are the real reason you receive a paycheck! Treat people the way you would YOUR pet (I bet it's much more RESPECTFUL than the way you just mistreated a now FORMER LOYAL VCA Forest South Animal Hospital FAMILY). I expected more ... but, the DECLINE in your animal hospital has been evident - I wish I paid more attention to the RED FLAGS. The Premier Veterinary Group - Orland Park showed us the COMPASSION that was needed in this time of grief. I understand that everyone falls short in appropriate responses, at times. However, even if you don't care - ACT LIKE YOU DO. EVERYONE has to cross this bridge at some point in life. So, prayerfully there will be a compassionate response extended in your time of need.

This is for pet lovers looking for a quality place. I brought in my cat, Amber for an emergency eye surgery recommended by another Vet Doctor in Chicago and had a great experience! DR. TRUDEAU is highly experienced, not to mention her professionalism, compassion and heart. The medications she prescribed are helping out with Amber's home care. Her technicians Alysia and Nicole we're also extremely thorough with ongoing communication, in person and followup phone calls. This was my first time going to FSAH, and as I sat in the waiting area during the surgery, observing all the morning activity at the reception area, I was pleasantly surprised how UPBEAT, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL the RECEPTION STAFF were. They also sanitized the seating area a couple different times I was sitting there as parents/pets came and went. Thanks for caring. Jeri

TL:DR - staff is very helpful, sympathetic, friendly, timely responses. Vet very knowledgeable and friendly. They went above and beyond to help my cat after I had been to a lot of other places that couldn't. Highly recommend. After 4 different vet "specialty" groups not being able to help my cat, VCA was able to help him. He needed a revision of his PU surgery. After calling to ask if it was a service they offered, Dr. Velkov, called me back the next day and reviewed everything with me before I had even made an appointment. That is exceptional and I hadn't gotten anywhere near that service at any other location.- they all insisted I make an appointment (and end up paying to see them only to be told they couldn't help me) before a vet would speak with me. I'm not sure why the reviews here say the staff isn't friendly. I found them extremely knowledgeable about the services they offer and very easy to work with and sympathetic to my situation.

I would like to give them a 0 star but it will not let me. I took my animals here for years. The Vets are very good the PRICES and counter help are the problem. I had my vet tell me to call around to other vets because he was out of my cats prescription food and that all they would have to do is call him or he would call them to let them know my cat needs this food. The counter help says since we do not see your cat we will not sell you the food. I corrected her and told her you have seen my cat and within the last year but your prices are TRIPLE what I'm paying at my new Vet. Than asks for my name like she's going to check. Than says THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THE FOOD. Oh yeah they are real concerned about animals but will LET THEm STARVE TO DEATH m, because you have not given them enough money. Makes me absolutely sick. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE GO TO BEECHER VET AND SEE DR. Dan

We had to change vets due to the one closest to our house closing. We also needed to get a pet neutered asap and they quickly got us in. The staff are very professional and truly care about your pets.

I have been coming here for my 2 Dobies for about 5 years. At first I loved this place. Check ups and shots were good, and service was fast. Seemed like they truly loved the animals in their care. The first flag, my red Dobie developed kennel cough during boarding. No one called to tell me he was sick but he was obviously sick when we picked him up. Still, no call, no explanation. Second, boarded my red Dobie again for this past Thanksgiving holiday. I've posted a pic of his nose. When my husband picked him up it was bleeding. They said it was from his pushing against the gate? Doesn't look like it from the position of the wounds. But if so, why wasn't something done about this and again why was I not called. When you check your pets in they ask for a number you can be reached at in case something happens. But no call. Lastly, there is ALWAYS an additional charge to the bill that they didn't quote. I mean ALWAYS. $10, $15, $20, $5. ALWAYS something they didn't mention, and services you never asked for. I'm so heartbroken that I allowed my boy to stay there. Follow your gut about this place. If its working for you great, but if not don't keep your pet there like I did. This is my boy's nose after boarding for 4 nights. Oh...and he flinched when I tried to put his collar on. He never flinches when I touch him. He also wouldn't eat when he came home but he was thinner. This also never happens. His appetite is always enormous. I'm slowly getting him back to normal. Never again VCA.

Ever since I started coming to VCA I have had a positive experience. Dr. Trudeau is truly amazing. She is kind, cares deeply and doesn't make you feel like you're alone when you're struggling with your sick pet. She explains everything thoroughly and has eased my anxiety on many occasions. Highly recommend joining the Care Club if you will be making frequent visits to VCA because it ends up saving you money in the long run for appointments and vaccines.
