Our experience with Abts was great. Tammy was available anytime we had a question or needed something. She was very compassionate about my mother’s passing and was there to help any way she could to make this moment easier for us!

Very rude! If I’d have known this was the same place as Katy’s pet cemetery, I’d have talked my family out of dealing with this place! I just now found out! Do your research, which I did even back when the whole thing blew up.
I had a previous problem but it got straightened out so I deleted it. I was just asking if my dads ashes were there so my brother could pick them up since he was tied up for work that day and couldn’t call which should’ve been handled way better with me, but unfortunately I got harassing phone calls after I emailed them for help, miscommunication was the reason for all this. - referring to ABTS response to my review below.

Abts Mortuary has professional staff that thoroughly complete their jobs with careful consideration, respect, and kindness. They try their best to accommodate for any need while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Abts Mortuary took care of six of my relatives after they passed and I wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else. Their business has generations of invaluable experience and credibility; there is a reason why their operation is sustainable. It is one of the few remaining family operated care services left in Pekin, if not the only one. Additionally, they are a safe business for any identity group or background an individual or family may possess.

This business is perfect in literally every single way. The owners are insanely nice and caring. They care for the lost loved ones and provide tremendous services. I cannot recommend any other business over the Abts family.

They never returned phone calls. They keep making excuses about the obituary. The when they did finally post the obituary the pictures everyone posted weren't saved. However they will still take your money. Horrible experience. They handled everything wrong with my mom. Never again!

I have had family who have used Preston Hanley and after my mother died and they saw how the Abts family did a service, they truly know what a service should be like and how good they made her look was like a real person not a made up doll. Words dont express the way I feel about them, Thank God for the Abts Family
