I never leave negative reviews, but this situation called for one. I placed a small order online today for in store pickup. It stated it would be ready in 2 hours. We live an hour from our nearest AE store in Peoria and I sent my daughter to pick it up. When she got there she was told they do not do pickups on Saturdays. I called explaining we live an hour away and there were only 3 items in my order. She (first name Cassidy) said they were short staffed and there was nothing she could do. I even asked if she could help my daughter grab the 3 items I ordered and was told again they’re short staffed. I ended up canceling my order because driving an hour away again on Monday is too much. She could have called or emailed to let us know the order wouldn’t be filled beforehand or taken 2 minutes to grab the jeans, sweater and earrings I ordered. Extremely unhappy with this store.I’ll be canceling my AE card as I don’t want to deal with this kind of customer service again.

It's ok. I mainly come here for jeans since I'm short. Not much of a selection in tops and dresses. Kind of gives me Old Navy/Aero vibes as far as every sweatshirt or hoodie having AE or American Eagle across it. This particular store has plenty of extra space to add more clothing in the back but it is really spaced out. A smidge pricey depending on what you are buying.

I purchased 2 items in store at full price and noticed when I got home that both items were 25% off online. Their own policy states that the store is to honor the online price. I contacted AE and was initially told I would receive the difference back. Then, a couple weeks later they tell me that unless I took a screenshot of their website, I can’t prove the items were marked down. It’s their website. I am pretty certain they can see what any item was priced on any particular day. Unbelievable.

very rude, i was shopping around with some friends and i needed some help on the AE app. the manager, yes the manager. looks at me and says. “i can’t do anything from back here you are going to have to turn off your wifi” in a very snappy tone. i’ve never ever had this problem. but when it’s coming from the manager it just shows that have no respect for their customer. thanks for reading. the managers name was remy or something. ?

never really had an issues until today. came in, wasn’t greeted by anyone but two employees looked directly at me. started looking around and instead of asking me if i was doing okay, another employee simply stared at her phone. couldn’t get help with a fitting room to save my life. i also work in retail and i understand having off days but this was honestly just blatant rudeness. going to to online i guess

Unbelievably rude employees! Especially if you are returning something and do not want to exchange. Had my sales record so shouldn’t have been and issue. When told employee I didn’t want an exchange she got an attitude and started talking to the other employee there about how she’d have to push sales because I was returning items that didn’t fit. I’m sorry but really...I should not have to keep items I don’t like or that do not fit properly.
