“Review Date: January 14th, 2015Urban Artifacts is the store to go for novelty old-timey signs…Just make sure you bring plenty of cash. While the use of the word ‘novelty’ conjures up the thought of reproduction items to represent things from the past; when it comes to Urban Artifacts, these things are from the past.My friend Matt is the one who introduced me to this store as I had never heard of it. Which is kind of comical, as we visited Broken Tree Coffee a few times and Urban Artifacts is just a few shops over from there. On to Urban Artifacts! The store is a lot bigger than it appears from the outside. My friends and I spent a solid hour browsing and I know we didn’t see everything they offered. There were quite a few awesome things I wanted to pick up in there, but the price for these novelty, if not nostalgic items, were a bit higher than I wanted to pay. Prices may be high, but the items they carry are in great shape.Overall, a really cool store. A neat ‘blast from the past’ up and down each aisle. If you love browsing thrift stores and stumbling upon things from the past, this shop is for you. If you need coffee or some pizza, hit up Broken Tree for either of those. Do keep in mind that they both have odd hours, so call before you make the adventure there.”

“The very best TRUE ANTIQUES. No yard sale, or late-model "collectibles" junk. Owners have the best eye for offering only the highest quality items. A seriously dangerous place for advertising junkies. I highly recommend shopping here!”

“Good store. All kinds of old house parts that are real wood/ ceramic/ bronze and will look great after some restoration. Prices are not at the thrift store level though. I am leaving Peoria soon and was going to buy kind of souvenir door knob for around $25-30. Surprisingly the one that deserved attention was $80. Otherwise very interesting place to visit. Attaching a plenty of pictures.”

“Awesome antique store with a cafe I wish I could have dined at. I'm starting with the cafe. If I lived in Peoria I would eat there every week. I'm recommending it without having tried the food,. It smelled delicious. The menu look great and the prices were very affordable. But, the thing that clinched it for me was the dining area. Vintage Formica tables with matching chairs and coordinating salt and pepper shakers. Too cute. Should have taken pics. Now for the antique or vintage items. Everything was nicely displayed, very clean and makes you want to impulse buy. I was happy to add to my Tupperware collection. Prices were reasonable.”

“My parents had a great experience with Terry so in calling him and leaving a message, he returned my call the same day and he setup a time to come out to service my grandfather clock the next day! He was able to have the clock functioning again and took the time to familiarize me with it and how to keep it running long term. I will recommend him to anyone needing a clock serviced!”
