I went for a walk-in pedicure after being turned away from a nearby salon. I was able to be worked in after an hour which was perfect timing to grab some lunch. I'm really pleased with my pedicure and the salon was clean and the staff friendly. I'll definitely be back!!

If you are from Peoria, Illinois, you know the saying, " Will it play in Peoria?" Well, yes it will.
On April 27th my wife got up early Saturday morning and headed to a nail shop near the Shops of Grand Prairie. Mind you my wife and I were in Peoria, due to my 87-year-old mother, being in the hospital due to having a very scary and difficult surgery, in which we were not sure if she would make it through the surgery. I am originally from Peoria (born and raised), now living in Atlanta, GA, for 18 years and my wife is originally from New York.
What happen to my Wife unfortunately was not surprising to me, but left her upset, sad and a feeling of, "did this really just happen.
So what happened? My wife got up bright and early and headed to the nail shop to get her nails polished ONLY! Around 9:30 am, I received a call from her, and she was so frustrated, she arrived at the 1st nail shop, which was Liquid Glamor Nails. When she walked in, she was immediately told that they did not have time to do her nails, without even asking her what type of service she needed, keep in mind it was between
9am and 9:30am the shop was not busy. There were a few elderly white women in the shop. My wife, proceeded to ask, is it because you need an appointment? Their response was no, but we are busy today. She left and proceeded to the next shop, Aqua Nails, she pulled up and seen an Asian gentleman opening the shop, and she asked them do they take walk ins? He responded yes. When she came in the shop, a lady immediately stated, OH! we can't do acrylic nails today because the only person that does acrylic is not in today. My wife informed her that she just wants her nails polished. She proceeded to tell her that they would be unable to do it, and suggested another nail shop which was the very nail shop that told her they were TOO BUSY, Liquid Glamor Nails.
It is so sad, however not surprising that this type of behavior still exists. The culture we live in today, some people are okay with wearing their racism on their sleeve. My wife was so shocked, however, being born and raised in Peoria, I was not shocked at all. I was very angered that she had to experience such blatant racism in a place where I call home. I would suggest to Liquid Glamor Nails and Aqua Nails to be very careful and not be so comfortable turning customers away because of the color of the skin. I told my wife that, they turned you away not because of the content of your character, but the color of your skin. So Liquid Glamor Nails & Aqua nails, by turning my wife away, you missed out on a blessing.

First time customer. Traveled to Peoria for work and needed some pampering/self-care. Classic mani/pedi was a great experience. Very relaxing and the ladies were fantastic and efficient. I will definitely go here again.

Amazing people and they do an amazing job. Third time being there, have a surgery coming up and she was great with advice on what will help as it will be a good 4 weeks before I can get back! Strong but thin dip application and the French manicure was perfect!! Thank you all so much!! Pedicure was great as well!! Thank you

I moved to Peoria from Chicago and have tried out every, single nail place around the are. Hands down, Aqua nails is the best. Additionally, the women who work at Aqua nails are very sincere, kind, and sweet. They genuinely care and engage in conversation… unlike other nail places I’ve been to around here. There interior is also bright, cheery, new, and super clean. The time and care they give to each client is unparalleled, in my opinion. I highly recommend Aqua Nails…. Even though I’ve yet to find a 5 star dinner restaurant in Peoria, at least I’ve found a 5 star nail salon!

My husband and I came here for pedicures. We called beforehand and they were able to get us in within the hour. From the moment we came in they were so sweet and considerate. Our pedicures were amazing. I can’t say enough great things about the staff! I hardly ever leave reviews but this place deserves more reviews!

Everyone is very talented and so friendly! Cindy did my nails, I got the dip and look amazing! The pedicure was so relaxing and the atmosphere is fun! I highly recommend choosing this as your nails salon. I also recommend just making an appointment, so you can walk right in and get done. Although they do accept walkins!Services: Polish removal

DO NOT PURCHASE GIFT CERTIFCATES from here! They will not honor them!! I was given a gift certificate purchased May 2023 for Mothers Day. Attempted to use it June 2023 and it was refused. Was told management change and could not be accepted. They put me on the phone with Angel. After giving her my family's business for over 4 years, we are ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED with her unethical behavior! She advised that they found out in April that owner told them to be out by June 1. (Gee wonder why?) They surely collected tons of money selling gift certificates between April and May, KNOWING they would not honor them. REPORT THEM THE BBB if this happened to you. I will not give unethical businesses my business and will never purchase a gift card from salons like these again.Service: Pedicure
