We purchased an LG gas cooktop in November 2022. We liked it very much. However, the igniter had a problem and would not turn off. We had purchased an extended warranty. So, I filed a claim and was promptly ignored. It didn’t matter who I spoke with, I was transferred to someone else. They can’t get a part. I need to file another claim. So, I figured I would just go to the source. I tried to call the store manager of my local store in Peoria. I figured since they sold me the appliance, they had some responsibility. At least they had an obligation to help me guide my way through this maze. I will never know because after leaving three messages to have the manager return my call, I discovered that ignoring customers is company wide. As long as I am spending money, I’m a king. When I have an issue I become invisible.Buy at your own risk. Don’t buy an extended warranty unless you have plenty of free time to sit on hold. Don’t expect any help from Lowe’s. It is obvious that they aren’t interested in helping. They got my money, so why would they?Zero stars for service. Zero stars for Lowes.

Ask for help....guy was busy said he would be with me. Proceeded to show pictures to coworker and then left and never helped. Had to go to customet service only to have him show up 5 minutes later. Had to return purchase and a manager stood there and carried on a conversation with a friend instead of helping. Evidently alot of the employees just wanna stand around and talk. Im actually literallty still standing in line.Update 6 years later. No cashiers, only self check out during middle of the day. Had to stand in like for almost 10 minutes for 1 person, because they only have 1 machine that takes cash.

Always like going to Lowe’s verse some of the other big box store. Just seems like there are more staff there to help you find what you needs and also knowledgeable in multiple areas, or there find somebody to help you.

Customer service at this store leaves a lot to be desired. Contacted store about an item they had in stock but was not able to purchase for in store pickup online. They confirmed they had the item. I offered to pay over phone or whatever was necessary to hold it. Was told I could not pay over the phone however if I gave them my name and phone number they would hold it at customer service for me thru the end of the day. I drove over an hour to get to the store to find out they sold it to another customer and did not even have the courtesy to call and tell me it was no longer available. While at the store I found it available at another store out of state and asked if they could have it transferred to Peoria or ship it to me and they said nope without any further checking into it. Tried calling back a few days later to see if they had any updates on when they may get more back in stock and got transferred to someone that put me on a never ending hold. Hung up in disgust after listening to on hold music for 20 minutes. Such a shame because the customer service at this store used to be the best of the best.

Found what I needed with the help of some of the associates. Went through the self check to be quicker, but should have known better, I managed to grab 2 pieces of wood with no upc code on them. The gentleman manning the self check lane was great and tried to help, but the cashier took his handheld and he couldn't call for assistance. He asked her to call for help and she yelled at him and was very rude to him. He managed to get help from another associate to call for him, and the lady who came over was very nice and helpful and got the prices we needed.
