The Peoria Riverfront Museum is a multidisciplinary museum offering art, science, history, and achievement. It provides a great variety of experiences, from permanent collections and interactive galleries to a dome planetarium and giant screen theater. Visitors always have fun, finding something interesting for any taste, including traveling exhibits like the Muppets, impressive T-Rex bones, and Discovering the Titanic. The planetarium shows and little movies are quite immersive. It is a great little museum tailored on historical sites and stories, good for kids and insightful for adults. Families can spend a very enjoyable visit of about three hours. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The museum also hosts beautiful community events and works hard to give back. It offers educational programming and occasionally has free days with extra activities geared toward children in the lobby.
