Peru Mall is a once-bustling shopping destination that has now fallen into a state of abandonment. Despite its current condition, the mall retains a nostalgic charm that appeals to those who appreciate the feeling of exploring a "dead mall." While the mall is mostly empty, with only a handful of stores remaining, such as Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Maurices, AMC Theatres, and Marshall's, visitors can still enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and the well-kept appearance of the facility. The kids' play area is a pleasant surprise, and the mall provides a good place to escape the heat. Visitors have described Peru Mall as an "impressive relic from the past" and a "great mall" despite its current state of decline. The closure of anchor stores like Sears, JCPenney, and Bergners has had a significant impact on the mall's viability, but for those who appreciate the beauty of abandoned spaces, Peru Mall offers a unique and captivating experience.

Most of the stores are shuttered. It's like walking through the back rooms.

Sadly feels like dying mall. Could tell it was a once bustling and lively mall but now very few stores left. Kids play area was a nice surprise! Good place to beat the heat.
