Doing lessons with Olivia at Az acres has been great! You learn so much and the horse, Moose is great to ride. The owner is very nice and easy to work with, I look forward to many more lessons here and would recommend anyone to come here.

I’ve been riding at AZ Acres for over six years now, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s like a second home. Both the owner and the owner’s daughter are incredibly kind, patient, and willing, and I truly appreciate everything they’ve done for this place. Jan, the instructor on the weekends, is just so amazing, and so is everyone else. I’m so happy to say I ride here.

The riding instructor on the weekend, Jan, is very patient and knowledgeable. The school horses know their jobs, and teach riders well. English and western lessons are both offered, so there is something for everyone.

Have been riding here for the past few months and it's been a complete joy to be riding again. The instructors are very knowledgeable in what they teach. Olivia is my instructor for English riding and I have no complaints. The people here are friendly and educate you on how to tack/untack, and groom the horse before/after each lesson.

Please help these horses. They are very stressed out from all the flies biting them!!!! There are no fans which help keep flies off the horses or fly strips and or traps. Sprays. The stalls were cleaned but not clean. ( clean bedding with p*** mixed in...more flies. A mud hole to hose off the horses. Not a working bathroom....more flies! Dirty septic !!!! This place needs help!! So we are not coming back to see these horses so upset!!!!! We all know stables have flies but you do all theses things to make it more bareable for these animals that cant talk!! But their actions speak volumes!! A majority of the horses are frantically chewing their stalls.

I grew up riding here and loved it so much I came back the first change I got 10 years later. Amazing people, great horses, and a wonderful place to ride.

More excuses than ability here. Very rude staff. We have been attending over a year. Gave them plenty of time to prove themselves. Looking elsewhere.

Look, if you're an adult in Plainfield/Shorewood/Joliet and you're thinking about taking lessons because you want to compete or you just want to become an all around better rider, this is the place to do it. And they can do group lessons if you want to take a spouse, friend, child, stranger you just met, etc. etc. The facilities themselves are very nice and the stables are always pretty dang clean. They have an indoor arena too so that's a huge plus in these winter months. There are quite a few grooms here so if you have any questions you always have someone to ask, but beyond that Megan does a great job of walking you step by step through tacking up and care to ensure you're doing it right and are using the correct equipment on each horse. The lessons are top notch. You work with different horses week to week and Megan is excellent at giving corrections while your riding. Lessons differ from day to day and they offer both English and Western, but Megan does an amazing job at remembering where your at and what you still need work on. I'm never pushed to do something I'm not comfortable with, but the option to push yourself is always there (if you've shown you'd be able to handle it). I always feel like my safety is considered while riding here which I can only imagine would be even more reassuring if you have your kids riding. Also worth noting, they offer summer camps for the kiddos.
