Do not waste your time or money unless you have no plans to actually use your car to travel anywhere, and have time to sit at the shop or at home waiting. Appointment times do not matter even for a simple oil change they expect your car to be dropped off for a day which you find out upon arrival or you can wait several hours to get your car back once completed. Anything else they say they can fix or issues found just screw you over more, cheap replacement parts were used and the same issues occured not even six months after replacement which we did twice and I still got charged the labor for their faulty parts! After engine work and asking to check my AC several times I get my car back with no AC, AND I ended up stranded on a highway shoulder due to my alternator suddenly going bad when I had zero issues prior to work that was completed. Whatever they did completely ruined my car. Got a dealership to replace the alternator having no issues after (for weeks), I go in here to hold them accountable for my AC charge at the very least (had to sit and watch them so that they actually did a leak test after I asked multiple times telling them it has to have a leak somewhere) and suddenly next day on my way to work my car barely makes it in with new engine/alternator issues that were not even a shadow of a problem before they touched my car again. CANNOT TRUST THEIR WORK, had to scrap my car after using this place

Blaine's is a local and family owned shop. I've worked with John and he is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. He always tells me exactly what my car needs and gets it taken care of for me quickly and at a fair price. Highly recommend working with John and his team at Blaine's Automotive!

After relocating to the Chicago suburbs I was looking for a reliable auto shop for my Mercedes. My car was ok at speeds above 45mph but at low speed it pulled forward. I had Mercedes service shop and a couple of the shops look at it but they could not find the issue.
During my first visit at Blaine's Auto John diagnosed the issue in less than a minute. After that fix its been driving perfectly.
I highly recommend working with John if you are looking for a full package of diagnosis, price, honesty and quality of work.

If you're looking for an excellent mechanic, John at Blaine's Auto is the answer to your search. He is extremely knowledgeable and does great work. So glad that I found him to do work on my cars after years of dealership hype. John is straightforward and honest. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great mechanic.

John was nothing short of amazing. Wife’s car broke down right down the street. Brought the car in and he was extremely helpful. I’ve done some work on the cars and he was nice to enough to give me some free advice on how to fix it. The fact that he was willing to try and save me money and time said a lot about his character. John, if you read this, cleaning the throttle body so far has seemed to fix the problem! If I ever run into any other issues, I know where I’m going.

He's the man! he'll get you a good deal AND He thoroughly explains what your car needs while working within your budget. He's the only guy I'll go to and trust, even though he's like 20 miles from my house!

John was very knowledgeable, I had him inspected a used audi I was looking at and he nailed it. The dealership has agreed to fix the few items that were found and john kept in touch with me the entire time making sure the process went well for me. He also passed on some wisdom about caring for the car that is very much appreciated. I wish that I lived in the area so that I could swing it by if any issues arrive definitely reccomened.

I recently had maintenance and brake work done on my 2019 Land Rover at Blaine's Automotive, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. John is highly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything clearly. He provided a fair and honest price. The turnaround was quick, and the quality of work was excellent. I've been here many times. John the owner is a really great guy!! He's not out here trying to make a quick buck. He's more focused on building a reputation of reliability and service. Many dealerships have fancy lounges where you can sit and wait, get coffee water and other snacks, watch television, etc. They don't have the fancy lounge here, but they also don't charge you an arm and a leg. The only drawback here is that they don't have much availability. They always seem to be busy squeezing you in, but that's to be expected in a place this popular. If you can wait, it is worth the wait.

I’m somewhat new to the area and had been searching for a reliable mechanic I could trust. After reading reviews, I decided to give Blaine’s Automotive a try, and I’m so glad I did! John worked on my car and was professional, honest, and made sure I understood everything that needed to be done. It’s a relief to have found a place where I feel confident about the service and know I won’t be overcharged. I’ve definitely found my go-to mechanic now!

I’m very particular about who I let work on my vehicles. John from Blaine’s Auto Repair is stellar to work with. He got done on schedule, communicative, and delivered. Such a friendly gentlemen, and really can tell he has a huge passion for the car business.
My 2015 GMC Yukon rides as good as new and no longer leaks oil. Stoked to have a trustworthy mechanic that’s close!
