I’ve been visiting this area for work and this grocery store has just gone downhill every time I visit. Customer service is very subpar.
Vegetables don’t look fresh.
I want to buy some tenderloins and the only ones they had were about a half inch thick, who in the right mind would cut a steak like that and then they try to sell it for $38 a pound, they had a big sign saying custom cuts. I asked them to cut me something custom and they said they don’t cut meat…?

The guy working at the counter in the meat counter should be fired. Rude and didn’t want to be there. Not helpful and no manners at all. I feel bad for the customers who have to deal with this clown. I guess they hire anyone these days.

The woman who answered my phone call at the customer service desk on 9/30/24 at 7:40pm was unbelievably terrible at CUSTOMER SERVICE, I asked her if she knew if there was any pumpkin pies in stock and not only did she just uselessly say “I don’t know they would be by the bakery” but she had a snarky rude attitude and tone from the second she answered the phone. It is quite literally her job to provide customer service and there was absolutely no attempt made to answer my question or help me in any way. How hard is it to be page someone or use her radio to just have them take a look to see if there were any in stock? I worked as a retail store manager for over half a decade and if I found out one of my employees was acting this way and not even trying to help the customers ESPECIALLY at the service desk I would have written them up without a second thought. I will not be shopping at this location ever, and I will make it a point to make sure the people in my life know to avoid this location. Genuinely disgraceful.

Not sure what happened here. I usually go during thr day to shop, lately have had deliveries because I was recovering from surgery. I only needed a few things so ran in at about 5pm. 1st no Rotisserie Chicken, then ovens were being cleaned so unfortunately, none for the rest of the night. Then i go to check out and the cashier was so rude, rolling her eyes, Huffing & puffing. The attitude here is unbelievable!! Not to mention I didn't clip a coupon, I didn't realize one of my items needed a coupon, the person bagging was no better, not sure if manager or customer service but he was just as rude. He started talking to another employee at self checkout, about maybe they should hire people to stand outside and hold up signs "don't forget to clip your coupons." I will NEVER return!! I will shop at Shorewood!!!

This store has gone downhill so much in the last year. Saturday at noon only 2 lanes open to checkout with lines going into the aisles. Waited 20 minutes to checkout. Store is never stocked with their sale items. Deli has an average wait of 30 minutes. If you want any hot food it’s either empty or old and dried out. God forbid you ask a deli employee to make you anything because they are so rude and start slamming stuff around. The bathrooms are filthy with actual feces smeared on the wall. It’s sad that they have let this store get like that.

I love the store but my bank card was compromised after using card for 600 dallars of groceries. Bank alerted me fraudulent charges. Went back to store to let them know so this don't happen to others . Tryed to Blam me. They would not give me a report or anything that I reported it . Be careful

As a working professional, I rely on my local Jewel-Osco in Plainfield, IL, for convenient meal options after a long day.
Unfortunately, this location consistently disappoints when it comes to providing fresh fried chicken or rotisserie chicken during evening peak hours.
It's frustrating to stop by after work, only to find the fresh food counters empty. This has become a recurring issue that the management doesn't seem to address, which leaves customers like me with limited options.
If you're counting on Jewel-Osco for a quick and satisfying dinner, you might want to consider other stores in the area where customer service and food availability are better prioritized.

This store is awful for pick up and delivery. They have twice now substituted sales items they had in stock for non sale items saying they didn’t have the cheaper item I wanted but I went into the store 30 minutes later and they had a whole end cap full. No one at this store really seams to care that their employees poor training costs customers extra time or money. I have spoken to the manager and reached out to corporate twice and they don’t seem to really care either. Hopefully others have better luck.

Very Bad Management for Dashers. Please be careful when you accept orders to this Jewel Osco location. You have to go milk case in the back and then wait for 30 minutes before you can move on to next opportunity after delivering the order. It’s like nobody cares; absolutely rude staff members.

I love this jewel osco , it's like the only one I ever go to ! Love , love their deli ! Boarshead meats and cheeses are fantastic ! Stores pretty well stocked . Very rarely do I need rain checks !
