Went to Menards to get a length of 2x6 to repair my storage shed. They had exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. The entire cost of repairing my shed will be under $10.00. Very happy with Menards!

So disappointed. Horrible customer service. I found a can of paint in the discounted paints with a sticker deliberately put on it that said 11.88. The man who mixed the paint took the sticker off and we didnt notice until the register thst the sicker was off. the girl at the register called the paint department to ask how much it was and they told her the sticker was not supposed to be there and the paint is 30.00. Why didnt the paint department tell me how much the paint was before we made it all the way to the register ? Just such a waste of time. I did not buy the paint.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to Manager Kevin for his outstanding service. We rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly deserves recognition.
Just days before listing our home on the MLS, the glass on our front door—purchased from Menards—cracked. Kevin addressed our concerns the very same day, even though it could have easily taken weeks. Thanks to his prompt attention and support, we were able to list our home the very next day.
This level of service is one of the many reasons we continue to shop at Menards. Kevin and his team exemplify teamwork and dedication—keep up the great work!

After spending a significant amount on lumber, I planned to rent a truck from Menards for convenience—only to find out, unexpectedly, that a $300 deposit was required. This wasn’t clearly communicated upfront when talking to the rental counter. Now, four days after returning the truck, I still haven’t received my deposit back! A frustrating and disappointing experience overall. Will be renting from the many other places that don’t require a deposit.

A couple employees in particular there ive known for 20+ yrs. Paul, Scott and Tony always go above and beyond to roll out the red carpet for all customers.

Love this place, friendly, clean, has great food prices too! Edit: “new” check outs are horribly designed and awkward, should’ve placed the employee on the other side of the belt like most stores do it. It seems extra slow as you have to wait for the customer in front to finish bagging.
Only way I could think to remedy this cluster bomb is to have baggers. Or do it like Aldi, employee puts all scanned items into the cart then you bag away from the next customer behind you. Melrose Park Menards has a similar check out but the cart area/employee controls the flow better. Gosh it’s just mind boggling why some corporate people changed it.
5 to 3 stars just for the FUBAR check out design. Still a great store otherwise.

I went to purchase some wood to do some repair work and I couldn’t quite find the measurement I wanted. My issue, however, is with the large gentleman Employee who walked up on the other side of the Woman cashier and started commenting on my hat. I don’t stretch of the imagination do I look like a welcoming and open person. And I sure as hell don’t go into an establishment with the expectation of getting a clothing critique. Maybe This could be some sort of personnel training and how not to approach a customer. My guess is from the male employees habiliment. He probably does not have much social interaction outside of the workplace.
