We had an issue where we hadn’t received our daily mail for a while. I submitted a request using their contact form as it wasn’t overly urgent, just something we needed to address. I received a call from Sue at the post office probably within the hour (I was expecting 1-3 business days for the response). They quickly found the error, owned it and apologized, and resolved it the same day! Mistakes happen, I was blown away by the response time and resolution. Thank you Plainfield USPS for all the work you do that is often unrecognized!

This place is just as infected as any other post office. It’s a cesspool of entitled unionized workers who hide their horrible demeanor and unprofessional behavior behind their contract. They lost mail that was recorded in informed delivery. Their exact words were “we didn’t lose it, the post office did”….think about that for a minute. Postal workers are the worst government employees. I hope they don’t expect any public support the next time there is a budget shortfall or a union conflict.

Went to the post office today and I’d hate to rate it so low because usually the guy I deal with in the afternoon is great and professional… but the woman I just encountered this morning was unprofessional and had attitude. Cursing in back as I walked up then attitude when I had a simple question that required a simple answer. Thanks for going above and beyond to ruin the interaction. Way to go!

just ridiculous attention to detail, unwillingness to do their job and check a mailbox outside my business that the post office forced us to use.. only 1 of the 4 mail attendants even check the box. i have already spoken to supervisors and nothing but talk with no corrective actions taken

ARE THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE THE MAIL CARRIER TEST, EVEN PASSING IT? I MEAN INCORRECT MAIL IN MAILBOXES? TheThe line is so long when you visit the location but the elder white woman(I didn’t get her name) who works there was very sweet. They need to hire more people to work at this location. Going to the post office shouldn’t cause anxiety

Putting someone's mail on hold because the garbage man put the cans to close to my mailbox? Are you really that LAZY to get out of the truck? Wait you had to get out of the truck to leave me a letter that you were holding my mail!!! How much since does this make? Garbage comes once a week. I can not control the ignorance of others. Seriously DO YOUR JOB AND DON'T BE SO LAZY!!!!

Lines are always very long. Not great service. No rush to help all customers. Piles and piles of packages. Will drive an extra 20 mins to avoid USPS Plainfield

Thank you so much for delivering an important document it was separated from the envelope the sender did not seal it properly so naturally it did separate but I really appreciate that you care enough to deliver the documents anyway and your facility is always so nice and helpful. Love this city and my USPS.

It's one thing to provide a reasonable explanation for something but to straight up lie to the person seeking help with something is beyond petty and disappointing. What happened to wanting to serve and help our communities??I went to the post office today to ask for help in receiving my mail. I rent and my landlord has been incredibly delayed in providing us a new mailbox after it tipped over. We've provided a temporary one that stands in a 5 gallon bucket of cement. Which the post office had used for several months with no issue.I received in July without prior warning a 2 week notice to get a mailbox in the ground. We notified our landlords again with the notice attached and hoped this would expedite the situation.Due date to get in ground was the 25th of July. Our landlords finally got someone here mid last week, so well after the notice timephrame was already complete.Naturally, we stopped receiving our mail, but even packages too that don't go in the mailbox.Today I went to the post office hoping to speak with someone. The front desk lady retrieved my mail and packages and came back saying the manager said she already spoke with me and my mail will remain on hold, that was it.I HAVE NEVER spoken to anyone at the post office yet.So not only are they just not at all giving any opportunity to help or at least say something along the lines of "for safety we can't deliver into a box that's not in ground," but to lie and say you've already told me? That's just wrong. If you work in a community service position, act like it. Be kinder, be willing to at least do your job to the minimum extent and tell someone a reasonable explanation for why you cannot help. To lie and avoid work is just pathetic and so sad.Do better Plainfield.

10 people in line 1.....1 worker at front counter. No attempt to call for help nothing, waited 40 mins to get to counter while you hear casual talking in the back from the other employees. Unbelievable!

Vincent was a nightmare to deal with and a very rude attendant/cashier at the post office today. Wanted me to re-write all of the names and addresses on my packages, even though they were already written down and organized. After I asked him why the names and addresses couldn’t just be entered in, from the information I had clearly given him, and create shipping label he gave a bland statement- “because that’s just how we do things.” Making no effort for an explanation or extra effort to assist me. I said, “fine, I’ll just go to UPS!” I have no choice but to walk away and re-do hours of work, the attendant laughs and says to the next customer, as I’m walking away, “Don’t worry- He’ll be back!”. Like I’m an idiot. All I could say was “Excuse me? Wow…” in disbelief of how I was treated. He was the shorter bald man, you’ll notice him by his radiant personality and willing to help anyone in need. NOT!
