I had nothing but a positive, easy, and quick experience at Dempsey Car Dealership in Plano, IL! From the moment I walked in, Steve and Dwayne were so kind and helpful, making me feel comfortable right away. Tom also came over to introduce himself, which made the whole visit feel even more welcoming and hassle-free.
Steve took the time to sit down with me, answer all my questions, and explain the entire process thoroughly. After the paperwork was done, he even went above and beyond by showing me all the features of my new car—something I really appreciated! I left feeling confident, cared for, and absolutely certain I made the right choice.
Highly recommend Dempsey and their amazing team!

I cannot say enough good things! I was honestly dreading the process of getting a new car, but everyone I came in contact with at the dealership made it such an amazing experience. Larry is so personable and kind, as is the owner. They guided me through everything and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. They gave me plenty of time to test drive my new car, and when I mentioned a few concerns, they didn’t hesitate to provide a loaner car until mine was ready later that same week. They kept in touch with calls and updates throughout the process — their communication is truly top-tier and greatly appreciated.
What really stood out to me was that they were never salesy or pushy. They listened to what I was looking for and never tried to upsell or pressure me into anything I wasn’t interested in.
Such great people here — even my parents said they can’t wait to come back so they can buy a car from this dealership too. Thank you, Larry, and all the other guys who made this the smoothest and easiest car-buying experience ever!

We just purchased a new Dodge Durango from Dempsey and are thoroughly happy with how nicely the entire Dempsey team treated us. Everyone was friendly, knowkedgeable and efficient. They made the purchase experience a pleasure. Notably, we drove almost 3 hours from out of state to buy from Dempsey, and I can honestly say that the drive was absolutely worth it. Sure, buying a vehicle is a business deal, but the folks at Dempsey made us feel like we were dealing with long time friends. Thanks everyone at Dempsey!

Almost 3 months dealing with this dealership and it has been an absolute nightmare! It all started on April 8th when I needed a new high voltage battery for my hybrid minivan because the battery died. They replaced the battery on May 15th and made sure that I had a rental car for the next two days but one of their mechanics had to hop in my van with my children to go to the rental car place and wait with my children until I was done with that paperwork. This was so not appropriate!
On June 2nd, I had a light on my dashboard and they could not get me in until June 16th and at that time, I had two lights on my dash. I had to call them several times before they finally told me that THEY DID NOT EVEN LOOK at my car after waiting weeks for this appointment. Who is going to keep your car overnight and not tell you? Well, that would be Jordan in service. I got my van back two days later and not even 5.5 hours later, one light came back on the dash.
They had to overnight a part and on June 21st and now the two lights were back on my dash, like they didn't even fix the problem to start with. I told them 3 weeks ago that I would be taking this van on vacation and they would NOT get me a rental car at their expense. During my week vacation, I was nervous the entire time because the one dash light came back on one hour into my eight-hour drive to Michigan. My husband spoke with the owner Tom on the phone while I was in Michigan.
I brought my van back to Dempsey on June 30th and I asked to speak with the owner which the service department aka Jordan told me I didn't need to, so I walked in and found Tom. He listened to what my story was and just gave me a load of garbage that his hands were tied as far as warranty work goes. His service department here is severely lacking and my rental car was also late when I got there at the time of my appointment. Per Krystal in service, she said on July 8th that two engineers came out, ran pump cycle to get air bubbles out. Not the first time that she tried to tell me the problem was an air bubble. LIKE SERIOUSLY?! They raised the front of the van 13 times for a bleed procedure. I picked up my van now for the 5th or 6th time in less than 2 months and Krystal said she drove it for about 200 miles to make sure that the lights did not come back on my dash. Well, that was a flat out lie because I took a photo of my milage beforehand and it was less than 60 miles driven since I dropped it off. I then had to wait for someone to go and get me gas for the milage she drove.
Turns out NOTHING WAS FIXED! I had to buy a new vehicle because Dempsey could not fix the problem. I will never go back! The service department doesn't call or follow up, except Bailey. Bailey was awesome! Jordan and Krystal need to get their act together, and Tom the owner could care less. Nothing but unprofessionalism here. Don't go here unless you want to waste months of our life and have no solution!

If I could give Dempsey Jeep Dodge Chrysler a sky full of stars, I absolutely would! This dealership is incredible, and it all comes down to Mr. Dempsey himself. He’s truly a gem—one of the most honest, warm-hearted people you could ever hope to meet. He runs his business with the same integrity and kindness, and the whole team will make you feel like part of the family. If you’re in the market for a Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler, this is absolutely the place to go. It genuinely feels like Mr. Dempsey and his dealership were heaven-sent. If you ever need a car this is the dealership you want. They are caring and ethical… it’s not just about selling you a car is about the experience for you and they want to make sure that they meet your needs. I’m so grateful to the entire staff- from the service department to the sales team. I had to buy a car very unexpectedly!!! I was overwhelmed and did not know how I was going to do this and they made the entire process smooth for me. They treat you like family.

So far so good. They accepted the truck 10 days early because it was unsafe to drive it or wait for my appointment. Hoping it will be ready when my original appointment was scheduled. Very nice crew.

I have been a regular customer for many years and will keep returning due to the exceptional staff and numerous great deals. A deserving nod goes out to Mr. Tom Dempsey, GM Dwayne, Sales Manager Josh, Finanace Manager London, Sales Associate Elijah, Service Dir. Krystal and Parts Manager Devon who all get the job done and handle whatever the customer tasks them with. They recently assisted me with getting out of a vehicle that was unfortunately plagued with some factory issues. However, they all made the situation RIGHT and worked hard to put the customer first. My brand new electric vehicle!

Best experience buying a Jeep here. John and Dwayne were so kind and helpful, there was no pressure to buy, and they even let me test drive the car over the weekend to get the full experience. So thankful to have worked with kind people.

The workers are so nice & friendly! They’re not pushy. We were in & out within an hour & a half. Prices were very fair. I love my new car!!!
