Gator bites were bit greasy and tough but still not bad. Grilled chicken sandwich was great. Be sure to get some cheese sauce for those homemade fries. We will be back!

3rd time eating here. I like the Taco salad here. I don't normally complain but the taco salad i had on Sunday was the worst I had ever. It was a handful of lettuce a little bit of cheese and I could hardly find any meat. Not sure what happened here, but we won't be back unfortunately.

Wish I could tell you if the food was any good but I sat there and waited while many others who came in after me got served. So I left. The beer was cold so there is that.

Great little bar with a river view. Food was excellent. Ate lunch there. Server was excellent especially for a bar, on a Sunday. 3 couples and we all ate different things. The BYO Burger was delicious, cooked perfectly. Ham and cheese was big enough for two. Be sure to get the seasoned fries

Port Byron has some great scenic views of the Mississippi River. I really haven't taken advantage of them enough - I mostly just drive on through to and from work. This particular Friday, however, I needed to take it easy before really starting for the day, i.e. grab some lunch, ponder the day for a bit etc. With that in mind I decided lunch at Ram's Riverhouse was in order before getting to work for the afternoon. I needed a burger in between work at home and doing stuff at site. There are only about three or so blocks of businesses along both sides of Main Street in Port Byron - this place is situated near the Southern end of this strip with a pretty great view of the river. I can envision sitting out at one of the small outdoor tables in the summer, just taking in the Riverfront with a few beers and a sandwich of some type. It's a little cold right now though, so I opted for indoor seating. The inside of Rams is an interesting combination of the past few decades. The space itself looks very new - clean wood laminate floors, drop ceiling, a TouchTunes machine, and the usual set of video slots that I think pretty much all bar/restaurants in Illinois are legally obligated to have now. There's also a multicade from the 80s right near the front entrance, as well as a not insignificant collection of Riverdale Rams items behind the bar. The name of the bar is starting to make sense now...I opted for a soda and a burger of the BYOB variety with bacon, pickles and onions. The burger was out to me within 10 minutes of ordering. It's one of the better burgers I've had at a bar recently. There was nothing fancy about it, just a solid burger with some tasty toppings. The bun was a stand-out in this case however - the little bit of frying on the grill top with some butter took things to the next level. It had those slightly crispy buttered bread bits on it - always a nice addition to a burger! As with some of the other places along Main Street, I want to come back in the summer when it's a little warmer and I can sit outside. I look forward to this return visit. Thanks Rams Riverhouse!Vegetarian options: There's not much available for the meatless consumer. A few of the salads would likely satisfy.Kid-friendliness: You could probably bring your kids here for dinner or lunch. Probably not late at night though. Please don't do that.Parking: There's a fair amount of free street parking along Main Street.Wheelchair accessibility: The front entrance does not appear to be wheelchair accessible.

Best feature- they are often the only restaurant open in Port Byron. Food is consistent with bar staff serving bar food. It meets our need when other places are not open.

They have this new inside outside bar thing looks so welcoming and fun. I didn't get the opportunity to go over since I was at the tug fest but looked really nice! I gave 4out of 5 because I didn't go and can't speak about the service or food. I will try soon though looks great really need more stuff like this around the area.

Nice little place with a view of the river. Friendly staff. They have added an open bar to the street so you can get the breeze and look at the river.

The food was ok. Nothing to go out of the way for. The bathroom was so heavily prefumed I almost vomiting just trying to use it. They have some very obvious water damage. One can only hope they have taken care of properly. Afraid to think about the leave of black mold in the place. The only truly bright spot qas are waitress. She was very friendly a true delight.

I am not a salad person but the summer berry salad has brought me in for the third time. My husband loves the wings. Love the new window view! Great food and great service!
