The Princeton Closet is a community-focused resale store with a history spanning over fifty years. It was founded by church women who wanted to help children and families in need by providing quality used clothing and other items. The store has moved several times before purchasing its current location in the former Sears building on North Main Street. Inside, the store is clean and well-maintained, offering a variety of affordable items. The merchandise is of good quality, and the store has a steady turnover of items, encouraging frequent visits. Most of the staff are volunteers, which helps keep overhead low, and all profits are returned to the community through donations to various organizations. Customers appreciate the friendly, helpful staff and the decent selection of clothing, toys, and other items. The store tends to be crowded, reflecting its popularity among shoppers. Overall, The Princeton Closet is a well-loved, clean, and affordable place that supports charity and community efforts.
Every week is a new experience. Lots of great vintage and current items to choose from. Friendly volunteers and clean location.

My daughter and I shopped at the Closet last week. At their busiest time, the staff was, as always, kind, helpful and patient. We found some wonderful things to take home. My 3-year-old granddaughter had the most fun, though, in the toy section. I’ve been shopping at the Closet for many years.

The prices are very affordable. The donors are very generous. The quality and turnover of merchandise is exceptional. So it pays to shop often and to be generous. The staff is mostly volunteer so overhead is low. And all profits are given back to the community.
