Hello, my name is Derek swenson.I worked here for a few weeks before being beraded by the crazy manager Sylvia. Side note apparently a crying emoji means laughing. ?. Anyway the 100% truth is that this place can be a good place to work. The store itself is for the most part taken care of. As a customer ALWAYS read expiration dates on anything you purchase. They occasionally check them but sometimes things slip through. As far as cleanliness it’s fairy good. It could be better and I’m not just talking when they are checked by a company to see how clean they are. If you plan on working here expect to learn everything within 3 days or you will get the big sighs and thrown off tasks to do something like go clean.this is for this store only by the way. I dunno if it’s normal everywhere now but also if you work here speak to nobody and ignore any drama. Do as I did and just work. Don’t accept any fake friendship or kindness either. Most importantly never I mean never interrupt the manager….when a normal person asks you to do something or explains something they will not completely stop talking and yell at you to not interrupt them when you are simply saying “ok” showing that you are in fact listening and understand what they are saying. Ask this person 5 seconds after you believe she is done speaking if it’s ok to speak now. Also never text in group chat even if a question is asked. It’s probably rhetorical and or they just don’t want you answering unless you know. Basically walk on eggshells. I’d advise if possible to ask the guys she shows favoritism towards If they can explain to you how to deal with her so you don’t get on her bad side cuz a grudge will be held. Me personally I have a career as a blueprint estimator making good money so I can afford to lose a job but maybe someone else can’t. Good luck.

When this location first open, it was great. Lately all the registers are closed and you have to wait in one line while three employees are working up front. No roller items available at 11am, bakery items hardly anything made and the slurpee machine has a dirty sulfur like taste to it's slushy drinks. I find myself going further away to different Thornton's locations and they're so much better with items available, clean, nicer, etc.

Icee from the Fizz Freez machine tastes like sulfur or rotten eggs. Self check out is down, besides that is better than 7-11 selection wise and employees are very nice always.

I stopped at Thorntons to get some gas. I was able to get in and out relatively easily. The credit card machine was way to use. The gas prices were similar to that of other gas stations in the area. I highly recommend Thorntons in Arlington Heights.

I come to thortons almost everyday and every single time the workers are a dream. Every single one of them seems happy and are is always free to help! I always walk out with a smile on my face just because the workers are so sweet! They 1000% deserve a raise and I hope they all live a great life!!! Thank you thortons❤️❤️❤️

Today, 6/3/22, just paid $5.60 ;per gallon. Used a $25.00 gas card that was graciously given to me by my local Parish, St. Alphonsus, and only got 1/4 of a tank on my 2021 Nissan Sentra.... GO BRANDON

This place is open 24/7 and no matter what time I go there the staff is always super friendly and genuinely care that you have a good experience while there. There's a speedway right by my house but I'd rather drive the extra 5-10 min to come to Thorntons!!
