Decent place. Best to park in staging area at 4210 Gardner Expressway first, then call them. Can park for the night and has a porta potty. Lot is dirt and very dusty. Underground isn't bad. People can block your turns. Be mindful of the railroad tracks underground. Fast unloading.

Been here twice. Swept trailer out with a 4ft broom same way both times. First visit no problems called number they told me where to go inspected trailer loaded quick easy in and out maybe an hour. Second visit for pick up called half hour before appointment. Told me dock is almost ready will call back shortly. Waited an hour called back myself to see if something had gone wrong. Directed me down the caves to the office and my dock. Warehouse worker inspected trailer found 3 small shards of glass wedged in the aluminum grooves of the trailer. Rejected the trailer. I understand policy. The load was not food grade and was on pallets. To me no reason to reject the trailer. Or atleast offer for me to sweep it out again or just simply pick up the glass. They wrote the trailer was in good condition. Im not upset that the trailer got rejected. It was the fact there was no chance to correct it. The warehouse worker seemed smug to me when he rejected the trailer. Little experiences like that can ruin the view of a company. For the most part think they are a good shipper.

This facility is placed underground. You can call before move in there (see number on the picture) or check-in personally in the Shipping Office which is on the left almost at the end of the main road. Don’t leave you truck here or you block the way. If you arrive earlier then your appointment they can send you to the staging area (4210 Gardner Expressway, Quincy. IL), which is a dirt lot nearby, where probably you can stay overnight. Wait when they call you, invite to the office, gave a map and tell the dock number. Underground there is no connection except in the Shipping Office. Be careful there is a railroad underground. No restroom. Once in a dock I was loaded in less then 1 hour. After that take the docs in the office and you are good to go. You can weight your truck for free on a nearby Huber scales (500 Radio Rd), where there is also staging area.

MCI is a terrible place. I went there to pick up a load that was supposed to weigh 21,600 lbs. I checked in at 8:00 AM. They told me to go to the staging area, which was 0.7 miles away. I went there, and shortly after, they called and said there’s no network write your pick up number somewhere . Then immediately come inside the office to get dock numbers.
I went to the office, and they gave me a paper with dock number 11 written on it. Then a man came and told me to go to Dock 10 instead. He quickly loaded the truck and sealed the trailer. I went back to the office to get the BOL (Bill of Lading). The lady at the front desk told me to sign it.
Before signing, I looked at the papers and noticed the weight was not right. It was supposed to be 21,600 lbs, but the paperwork said 43,407 lbs. I told her this was wrong. She said if I wanted to tell my dispatch, I should use the radio line and press 91, then my number.
Anyway, they said if they had to unload the trailer, I would have to pay $260. They told me to leave and go back to the staging area, then call them after the payment was made. I went back to staging and called dispatch. My dispatch paid quickly.
I called them again, and they said, “Wait until we call you.” I’ve now been waiting for 6 hours. I called them 3 times, and they keep saying “wait.” I haven’t had any breakfast or lunch, and I’m exhausted.
This has been a complete waste of my time. Now it’s 5:00 PM — I’ve been here from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Horrible service. Horrible company. They have no sense of humanity.
Everyone, be careful if you ever have to visit this place. It’s the worst company I’ve dealt with!

Okay 👌 if you going for a pick up, make sure you wash out your trailer, second when you get there, go straight to the traffic light and take a left, go about half a miles to the scale, make sure you scale your Trailer and get the ticket, then if your late make sure to pay your late fee to through efs check! Then give them a call, give them your Pick up # then your money coded if you’re late. Then wait for them to call you when they got you a door.
And loading is pretty much faster
