“Just finished getting my animals caught up on all of their vaccinations. Dr. Stubblefield and Kathleen have always taken such amazing care of my animals and prioritized their needs and comfort. There have been a few times within the last year that one of my animals (and once was a stray I brought in) needed seen urgently enough to not be able to wait a week or so and they would have them scheduled to be seen by the end of the day. No extra charges or fees, just wanting to make sure no animals are in pain or discomfort. I’m not going to lie to you, when I first started taking my pets here, Dr. Stubblefield was a little abrasive with me personality-wise. I didn’t love our interactions, but at the end of the day, my animals were always taken care of 100% and that was my priority. When my dog got into some mint leaves and was having a really uncomfortable allergic reaction, I called every single vet office I could find in the area and no one would see her within a week. Dr. Stubblefield had me bring her in the same day, examined her, talked with me, gave her a shot, and she was back to her normal self by the next morning. That’s what I care about. I brought a stray kitten with a broken arm whose skin was no longer connected to his jaw to the U of I emergency vet. They put him on some meds and gave me the option of doing his surgery there for more money or taking him to my vet. Dr. Stubblefield got him in the next day to examine and gave me our pre-surgery instructions and got him in for surgery the following day. He didn’t make it through unfortunately due to his initial trauma and then the trauma from surgery, but Dr. Stubblefield and Kathleen helped me through that difficult time and it wasn’t just as my vet and vet tech. They know what it’s like to love and they know what it’s like to lose and they treated me and my baby with such dignity and compassion. Dr. Stubblefield has definitely improved his bedside manner since I started going there and I could not imagine having to find another vet office with staff that care so deeply for their human and animal clients. They are as much a part of all of my babies’ family as I am. From the bottom and top of my heart, thank you so so much to Dr. Stubblefield and Kathleen for helping me take care of my babies in a way only you can. ❤️”
