fantastic bank, best I have ever had. No waiting in lines, great people interest on my checking account (not as good as it once was) don't sell out to the big banks!!!!

Been banking here for a few years. Been very happy with there services. A bit disappointed. They dont have any rewards or incentive programs. Or high interest savings accounts.

They refuse to sign a subordination agreement for me, so I can refinance my home (which is currently owned by another bank, and the refinance will be through a different bank as well), that will save me approximately $450.00 a month. This refinance will not affect my loan with Holcomb bank in any way. In fact, it would allow me more funds, to possibly pay their loan off sooner. Instead, they want me to pay my loan off, in full. (which I would do, if I could) Bobby, was very condescending on the phone to me, when I explained the refinance, and was very clear that he was not going to help. He told me “it’s just business, right?” and that I need to stop making it personal. (Not sure what he meant when he said, “making it personal”.) So it seems that they would rather lose approximately $4,000.00 in future interest from my loan, than to sign a piece of paper, that would help my family out, especially during these bad covid times. I feel like they are kicking me while I’m down!! Shame on them.

Very nice employees! Always so helpful whenever I have a problem to be solved. Thank you Julie who has helped me numerous times with issues, and always with a smile. Everyone at Holcomb in Byron is wonderful. Definitely recommend this bank.

They have a great room to rent for special occasions. We rented it for our daughters Wedding Reception. It was perfect, they where very helpful.

We got our first mortgage with Desa and the process was fantastic. She would respond within minutes to whatever questions we had about the incredible process that is buying a home in Illinois. After 3 months we moved into our very first home and received a welcome mat for our front door from Desa.Fast forward to after closing. Now she won't return my e-mails and every time I try and call she is "gone" for the day. I have e-mailed her twice now with important questions and one time she called my real estate agent instead and had him answer my e-mail. The second time I got a bill for our mortgage in the mail from bank we had never heard of and I reached out to Desa to make sure this was the correct bank to send nearly a thousand dollars to. To preface this we had received at least 10 letters in the mail from fake banks requesting payment. She never responded and finally I got ahold of someone at the bank and they let me know that United Community Bank was who was servicing our mortgage. It is a shame this way of the world, people will be incredibly nice to you until they have what they need and then throw you aside. I thought Desa would be different but I was mistaken.Just my two cents.

Polite and helpful staff. They also have a drive thru at this location that is open Mon-Thur 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-6pm
