Most shops I've been to will do a quick diagnostic soon after you check in. You know when they hook your truck up to the computer just to check what codes are going off.
Not this place. I spent 6 hours here with absolutely nothing going on with my truck. NOTHING. When I noticed their shift change going on I went in to see if anyone was going to look at my truck. With 7,750 miles on it I'm thinking it may be a glitch, error code that needs to be cleared or maybe a sensor. They told me it would be another 3 hours before someone could get to me.
So I left. Went to the Love's, waited my turn and the bad sensor was replaced within 30 minutes of my truck being in the Love's shop.
To be fair, I knew this Kenworth was very busy from the moment I pulled into the parking lot and all the bays were full with techs working. But they could have gave me 5-10 minutes to do the check in diagnostic.
I won't be returning here ever if I have any choice in the matter.

Had a check engine light and wrench symbol pop up Saturday afternoon. Couldn’t believe I found a dealership open on a Sunday 75 miles away. Drove and parked there praying they were actually open and could possibly fit me in with no appointment.
Walked in at 7am. Spoke to Stan. He said let’s diagnose it and go from there. We have 3 or 4 other trucks to get at today.
By 7:15 Braxton had me pull up and plugged into the computer.
DPF sensor.
Was out of there by 10am and to Regen probably took an hour.
Great experience especially considering no appointment and on a Sunday.
Braxton and Stan hooked me up.

Update: 03/17 they resolved my issue, but 2 months later
Today (February 2nd), I had coolant work done on this KW W900 truck at MHC in Rock Island, IL
After I picked the truck up and drove to about geneseo, IL. The coolant and wrench light came on. So I stopped at speedco loves in Atkinson IL. Came to find out the small clamp (below the egr in between the frame, cant see in the last picture just below it) wasn't placed high enough. They got it fixed and put in 3 gal of coolant.
Hope MHC can reimburse me for what speedco charged me for what MHC missed.

Yeah this place will make you sit for hours just for a diagnostic and they take even longer to fix it. They do good work though

Got me in next day and had me fixed and rolling in about 5 hrs!! DEF pump and exhaust pressure sensor!! Not bad for that crap!!

Thankful for excellent service and great people. I've arrived Friday night with complex breakdown, and they fixed the truck as emergency the next day. They showed understanding for truckers business as I was able to return on the road ASAP.

Not consistent with other dealers pricing. I don't recommend any mhc facility. Find a different kenworth dealer elsewhere.

Never got to actually experience the service part of my stop. There are some people who genuinely seem to want to help buy they are unfortunately subject to a service manager that wants to make sure you know he's in charge and things will be done his way. Whenever I tried talking to someone, he quickly inserted himself into the conversation and sent the other person back to their desk. While trying to ask a simple question, I was basically told we have a way of doing things, and I have no interest in answering your question. By the way, i did end up needing two injectors like I told you, so maybe next time, don't just ignore people who simply want an answer to a question.
