Mortgage Rep John Johnson was beyond helpful and professional. Never had any troubles with any of the tellers like other reviews stated. Also, I find it funny how people can complain about bank fees when they don’t even bank at Associated? That is standard anywhere. That’s an unfair review to such a great bank!!

Bank tellers are rude and not helpful. Manager Jeff seemed to try to accommodate where his tellers failed to help but unfortunately was too busy.
Very frustrating to deal with a bank who had no interest in helping a customer!

Big shout out to Mr. Jimmy Law for his patience, knowledge and commitment to bank customers. He was a huge part in assisting with the resolution of my issue. (Notary public problem). I’m not even a customer at his location and he went above and beyond!!! GREAT JOB!!! Keep up the great work!!! Thanks again!!

Don’t trust auto mortgage payments with associated. They applied last month to principle somehow, then reported to credit that the account was delinquent (even though full payment was still paid)

Went there while the lobby was open, asked to close my account and was told it couldn't be done because one banker had an appointment in a few minutes and the other wasn't there? WHY can't the teller close the account?? Also, it should only take a few minutes to close the account so why couldn't the banker just do it quickly before the appointment arrived? Now I have to make an appointment, find another time blah, blah, blah. Terrible customer service. I will close this account ASAP and will not be back.

I have 4 bank accounts in northern, IL. I have tried all of the banks. Associated Bank is BY FAR the worst option for banking. I actually lost money banking with this company, although I was responsible. Nothing short of a scam. Horrible software, horrible app, horrible customer service. I would advise any other bank than this one locally.

On numerous occasions I have stopped at the Rote Road location after hours to use the ATM. I have only been succesful twice, and that was quite some time ago. It's either out of money, but more often, I am attempting to deposit cash into my account. The terminal informs me that it cannot read my card. Yet I can drive across town to the Machesney Park location or the branch on Center Terrace and make the transaction with the same card with no issues whatsoever. I know this because I just got finished doing it...again.

This bank is completely unprofessional. I tried to deposit $500 into their ATM in October. The ATM malfunctioned and would not return my money or deposit it into my checking account. I called the 800 number on the ATM and they advised me to go into the bank during normal business hours. After talking to one of the reps at the bank, I was told to watch my checking account for a credit if it was found in my favor after the ATM audit. Two weeks later, I have the $500 I should've had in my account to begin with.

Banked here for a while, but not impressed. Mobile app was confusing. got a notice one day they were closing my account for inactivity, yet by law they did not need to do so. Also charging me money to do it. So I took my money and left before they could charge me. Many other fine banks out there, so better to go there than here.
