The doctor here saw our cat Sunkist for the first time today. The doctor and staff were very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The clinic itself was clean with modern equipment - and even had it's own lab!!! AAA+++

unless you want your pet to die do not take them to this vets office. not only is it more expensive than more reputable places but they are careless and ignorant. we took in our 6yr old pom mix to see why she was lathargic and had a hard time walking. this uneducated ignorant woman told us she "probably just ate some weed." and sent us home. the next night our pooch got significantly worse so we rushed her to the ER Vet where they diagnosed her with a life threatening disease called pyometra. the vet said had it been caught sooner our baby would still be with us. we told her what Auburn Animal clinic said and the er vet said that any trained professional would have caught the dieseas with a proper full body exam. the same exam we got charged for! We should have seen the red flags when they got the dosage wrong when we had our older pom put down a few months prior. in incorrect dosage caused our poor baby to flail around and suffer until her heart finally subcome to the euthanasia. another time she argued the gender of our bearded dragon with us. we had to physically show her how to sex a dragon. this is something a simple Google search can teach you. this place is an absolute joke. they try to charge you extra fees for "the exam" when they can't even figure out the issue your pets having.

Worst customer service I've ever received from an exotics vet. Called to inquire about service for my animals and was immediately met with a bad attitude. After describing what I was looking for I was provided with a quote not even applicable to the type of animal I had mentioned. Between the rude/insulting attitude and the complete incompetence when it comes to quoting, I would not recommend working with this clinic.

Auburn Animal Clinic is awesome!! The employees and the vet truly care about each animal that comes to their Clinic. I would recommend this Vet to everyone!! My kitten truly despises being put in her carrier & cries the whole trip there, once inside she becomes the most perfect girl ever!! It's the difference between night & day with her attitude.

It's awesome to have a good vet on the west side! It's not spiffy but they take wonderful care of our pups. They picked up on a thyroid condition in our old girl that our previous vet missed.

I could not be happier with the service and care we've received at Auburn Animal Clinic. They have been nothing more than helpful and kind to our 2 pugs. Their pricing is also very fair and reasonable. We couldn't imagine taking our babies anywhere else!

They are amazing! My bunny has been a patient here for a while now, and they have been wonderful about getting him in for an emergency, nail trims, and neutering. Their price point is exceptional, too. I have nothing but great things to say about this location.

Always a place that loves our animals. Our dog has/had cancer and the Doctor said that it was pretty bad outlook. The Veterinarian recommended rest and a whole food diet. Today our did had her first yearly checkup since then and in fantastic health. Excellent love and care of our pets.

As a new client with this clinic, I can honestly say I was soo deeply disappointed in this clinic and Dr. Holms specifically. I will NEVER be returning and I would highly recommend finding a different provider for your veterinary care. I've worked with phenomenal veterinarians including a small ruminant specialist from Iowa State University for the exact same services with a much more qualifed vet and paid exponentially less than what Dr. Holms charged for an incredibly basic service. Between the massive over charging for services and the level of unprofessionalism from Dr. Holms, I don't believe I have ever had a worse experience with a clinic.I recently moved my herd of goats to IL and needed to get setup with a new vet as well as get health papers to take them to a show across state lines. I have done this exact thing with 3 other vets (including the vet specialist from Iowa State University) in the past 3 years.2020 small local clinic - new client relationship establishment + health papers for 7 animals + $40 bottle of medicine + farm call 20 miles away = $1352020 Iowa State University specialist - new client relationship establishment + health papers for 9 animals + farm call 45 mins away (split between 2 farms) = $1702022 (both my other vets were booked so went to another small local clinic) - new client relationship establishment + health papers for 12 animals + brought animals into the clinic = $902023 - Dr. Holms - new client relationship establishment + health papers for 9 animals + brought animals into the clinic = $450.Yes, you read that correctly... a university qualified specialist with a farm call was EXPONENTIALLY cheaper than Dr. Holms. In the numerous times that I emailed the staff, price wasn't mentioned and I fully budgeted $200 since it is Northern Illinois however I was flabbergasted when they told me the amount that was due. I didn't want to make a scene at the time so I paid the money and left but did call the clinic a short time later to at least discuss this with clinic and how unfortunately I would not be able to continue to work with a clinic that is drastically overcharging for something so basic.Dr Holms got on the phone at that time and was incredibly rude to me. She seemed VERY irritated that I dare question the billing and when I advised her of my experience with other clinics, proceeded to tell me how I don't understand anything about running a business and that it was my responsibility to ask pricing ahead of time. I told her I understood that she can charge anything she would like but, as a client, it is my right to take my business elsewhere when someone is grossly overcharging. I advised her how disappointed I was with her and her lack of transparency. Please look at the other reviews outside of mine. It does appear that this clinic has a chronic issue with price gouging, and I have seen numerous reviews about how rude Dr. Holms can be.Had I looked at the other reviews prior to setting the appointment, I would have absolutely found a different clinic to work with.

I switched to Dr. Holm a yr. ago after the other Vet Service used for 5+ yrs seemed to develop a tad of an attitude. I'm not referring to the Vet @ that business but it was clear appts were hard to come by and when I needed help ? I was denied w/o an exam, but they couldn't schedule my dog so- go figure. I'm quite pleased with Auburn Animal Clinic, the Staff, and even more so w/Dr. Holm. They literally do hold sincere concern for your Animal ( family member). This is my 2nd yr. w/this Dr. and her practice. Currently having some renovation done but I only have gd things to say about the Practice- since Covid ? You make your Appt. and call when U arrive while in the Parking Lot. I still wear a mask due 2 my own health issues- it's not required but Idw that exposure again. They call you in to pick up meds or if you've brought your Animal in for an Appt when the person prior to you has left the building. Your not rushed thru here, your Animal is completely examined and this isn't a Business that looks for an exam pymnt prior to helping you and your Animal. Truly, I'm very pleased w/the care and knowledge I've been shown for Mace. Extremely friendly staff, knowledgeable and Dr. Holm also has Surgical Day during the wk. Even then ? Staff had no problem asking her a few questions for me. I also believe she works w/Ag Animals. Def works w/Parrots. I'm so glad I switched- that's all I can say... so if you're current Vet or their staff can't seem to give you or your Animal the time of day ? I strongly recommend Dr. Holm and her practice @ Auburn Animal Clinic !

AAC took excellent care of my hamster when I found a lump on his belly. They told me that it was likely not something to worry about but offered me the option of keeping him overnight so that the lump could be tested to see what was in it. I chose to go with the testing for my peace of mind. They even kept him another night due to my work schedule so that I could pick him up the next day. Have not been able to find any other vets that see hamsters in a timely manner or for a reasonable price until I found this place. Will certainly be back!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. All they are worried about is $$$. Awful. They are rude, disrespectful and money w h o r e s!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Please go literally anywhere else. Took our lab her because our normal vet was out of town for the week. Got us right in here (1st red flag) Paid $800 to be told about a diagnosis our vet already told us about. They tried to call back and say I never paid for part of his bill weeks later…..I have all the receipts and ignored them. Money W H O R ES!!!!!
