This clinic just wants your money. Having been in for an exam in the last 8 months, the vet wouldn’t allow me to have a urine analysis done for my cat with a history of urine crystals because my last visit wasn’t for this specific issue, eventhough it was discussed. Employees are rude, with the exception of their front of house, and don’t like it if you have knowledge of anything about animal care and wellness, I wonder why that is. I find the push for another exam before my cats urine analysis and to be both transparent and excessive. This is not the way to treat an established customer. Not that the clinic cares, they made that quite clear, but I will be taking my cat’s wellness care elsewhere.

Call to see if they had opening for a groom as we are from out of state now this was my vet when we lived here

Dr. Lind is amazing. However, this is a very expensive vet office. I'm pretty sure every appointment I have scheduled has been moved forward by 15-30 minutes via text. Although that may sound courteous, I always wait a minimum of 20 minutes in the waiting area.

I brought my new kitten to see Dr. Nelson a few weeks ago and she was able to get my baby in for a spay quickly. I’ve been very impressed with the entire staff and plan on bringing the rest of my cats in for their care as well.

I have been a client for 20 years on my own and over 30 with my parents. Dr. Beth and Dr. Katie were absolutely wonderful. Today I have an extremely sick kitty but they won’t see him because he hasn’t been there in years….he was up to date on vaccines and healthy when Covid hit and because he has been healthy and an indoor cat I haven’t brought him in. Now because of that they won’t see him today even though he is very sick. They suggested I call other clinics to see if they could get him in. I took him to the emergency vet yesterday but today wanted someone I trust and have built a relationship with over the years to help him! They showed absolutely no compassion to me (even while I was crying on the phone) and obviously have no compassion for my cat. They have lost my respect and also my business. I am so completely disappointed with Bellwood. I had always highly recommended them but will do so no more.

We transferred to Bellwood when we moved to the area and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. The doctors are fantastic and the staff is really friendly and great with my cat.

We are moving on from this vet for a couple of reasons. My older dog Argos... he has a limp. They kept him there and put him under in order to take xrays. When I picked him up one vet tells me he has arthritis. We start him on a regime and I bring him back a few weeks later for his normal shots and check up. Different vet walks in and tells me he needs surgery. Not only is she telling me the exact opposite as the other vet but she claims with surgery Argos will be like he was 10 years ago. Argos is 8 years old. Plus... I don't care what surgery you're recommending NO SURGERY is going to magically make an old dog with arthritis a puppy again. That's just ludacris and you shouldn't be making promises like that.Response: Argos had made improvements. The very 1st thing out the mouth of the 2nd vet AT YOUR FACILITY was "Argos needs surgery" before she even did a physical exam. This was after only one month on an arthritis regimen after looking at the very same xrays that the other vet AT YOUR FACILITY already took a month before and used to diagnose him with arthritis. So how can you tell me his needs changed when you didn't even get new exrays before making a new diagnosis?? YOUR two different vets looked at the exact same xrays one month apart from each other and gave me two different diagnoses. Then when I questioned the surgery diagnosis ( not merely a suggestion to see a specialist...she insisted he needed to go straight from there to a SURGEON) she acted like if I cared about my dog at all surgery was the only option. Matter of fact her exact words to me were "it depends on how much you care about your dog."

I had to recently put my cat down. The care, compassion and respect the staff and vets gave me me and my cat were amazing. I am grateful to them for the way they treated my cat.

Took my bunny in for a spay surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery did not go as planned and the vet accidently cut a part of her small intestine. My poor bunny died a few days later either due to the infection of this incident or due to the pain or both. They did not take responsibility since her death could have been because "various things" is what I was told. I do believe this is what caused my bunny to pass away. They did give me my refund but that does not take away the pain of the loss of my bunny. My bunny was healthy and only around 9 months of age. I won't even go in detail with how the secretary made me feel when I first called about her passing the morning of. Professionalism and empathy is needed and I hope no one has to go through what I went through. I hope that you can better train the receptionist to be more empathetic towards these type of situations. I know surgery on an exotic animal is not easy and very intricate but with the training and knowledge cutting her small intestine was unjustifiable. I suggest you hire more Vets or Vet assistants to do these type of surgery's to be more cautious. RIP to my bunny.

Excellent service. Dr. Lind tool time to let the dog get to know her a bit before doing the medical stuff. The dog was still nervous but was much better than he was with the "other" vet clinic where they just rush, rush, rush and then blame the dog. I am very happy with Dr. Lind and Bellwood!

Had multiple bad experiences here with my dog. My dog gets very anxious and nervous going to the vet and instead of being understanding the staff would get extremely frustrated with him. I finally decided it was time to take him somewhere else. Took him to state street animal clinic and it was a complete difference. They were understanding and patient with my dog and made us both feel comfortable, this is how it should be. Would never take my dog to Bellwood again.
